Usagi: Woo! A dance party!
Chibi-usa: Why is Mako acting so strange?
Usagi: It's called Love at First Sight. Wait, that guy...
Chibi-usa: Yeah! I saw him dancing with lots of other girls!
Usagi: What a jerk! How dare he toy with Mako's feelings and cheat on her like that! In the Name of the Moon...
Both: We'll punish you!

(CWi Episode: "No Prince Charming")

After another scolding, Tiger's Eye comes up with a new plan to target multiple girls through a college dance party. And one of the victims happens to be Makoto who's eager to know if he's her long awaited Prince Charming; this inspires concern in her friends over how far Makoto will go for a man who doesn't even care about her.

Tropes in this episode include:

  • Alone in a Crowd: Makoto starts out in the dance alone by a pillar watching everyone else have fun.
  • Aww Look They Really Do Love Each Other: Usagi, Mamoru and Chibi-usa have a wonderful dance with each other without any petty squabbling.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Just before Shufflefuruo unleashes his Finishing Move on her friends, Makoto transforms and delivers an extra powerful Supreme Thunder attack that neutralizes the Lemures.
  • Blaming the Victim: Tiger's Eye shamelessly blames Makoto for letting herself fall for him after one dance.
  • Call-Back: Zircon shows footage of the Amazon Trio's failures in capturing Pegasus.
  • Chick Magnet: Tiger's Eye succeeds in trapping a gaggle of unsuspecting girls after his dance with Makoto.
  • Death Dealer: Shufflefuruo's special ability allows him to throw super sharp playing cards that can cut through anything.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: Makoto's insistence on waiting for Tiger's Eye despite being cruelly brushed off brings to mind women in real life who are in abusive relationships but are willing to put up with their toxic parters/love interests. Especially the part where she tries to defend him in spite of his cruel actions.
  • Evil Plan: Tiger's Eye decides to target multiple women instead of going one at a time to speed up the hunting process.
  • Foreshadowing: During her episodic scolding, Zirconia warns the Trio that she'll find someone else to look for Pegasus instead of them.
  • Friendship Moment:
    • Seeing her friend alone and not having fun, Ami invites Makoto to dance with her which leads to the two having a wonderful time.
    • Accepting that Makoto won't leave until she sees her fated "prince" again, the girls decide to keep Makoto company so she won't be alone in the rain and so she'll have their support if/when he shows up.
  • Here We Go Again!: A positive example. Makoto gets over her grief after Unazuki tells everyone about another dance which makes her eager to try her hand at love again.
  • High-School Dance: Averted with the high school part. The story takes place in a college dance where it's rumored that two people dancing together will have a fated encounter and fall in love.
  • Imagine Spot: While dancing with Tiger's Eye, Makoto envisions herself as a princess dancing alongside him in a royal ballroom.
  • Love at First Sight: Makoto is head over heels when she meets a disguised Tiger's Eye whom she believes could be her Prince Charming.
  • Not Bad: Tiger's Eye thinks of Makoto as this when he enters the ballroom.
  • Not So Above It All: It was expected that all the girls would want to know about Motoki's backstory in hooking up with Reika, but even Mamoru shows interest as well.
  • One Dialogue, Two Conversations: Usagi and Chibi-Usa spy on Tiger's Eye and Fish Eye talking with each other in private. While the villains discuss Tiger's Eye's plan of targeting tons of girls in the search for Pegasus, Usagi and Chibi-Usa believe that they're talking about him manipulating girls like a cheap, corruptible bimbo.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Usagi is so outraged to hear Tiger's Eye boast what a shameless womanizer he is that she crushes the food in her hands.
  • Serious Business: A pumped-up Minako assures Makoto that she did a great job with her dress as it'll be necessary in going all out at the upcoming college dance.
  • Simple, yet Opulent: Makoto wows her friends with a long black dress with a red rose in front.
  • Sleep Cute: Rei, Ami and Minako do this with Makoto while waiting alongside her.
  • Sudden Soundtrack Stop: With a snap of his fingers, Tiger's Eye manages to stop the music and interrupt the party.
  • This Cannot Be!: Makoto is heartbroken to realize that her "prince" is actually part of the Amazon Trio.
  • Villain Opening Scene: The episode starts with Zircon showing a movie to the Amazon Trio about their failures while Zirconia orders them to do better.
  • Villains Out Shopping: Fish Eye tries his hand at the festival's beauty pageant and ends up winning.
  • What Is This Feeling?: Tiger's Eye has indescribable feelings after he sees how committed Makoto was in waiting for him.
  • I Will Wait for You: A lovestruck Makoto plans to wait in the gym all day in the hopes that her "Prince Charming" (Tiger's Eye in disguise) will return to dance with her.
