The war for the fate of the future reaches it's conclusion as Sailor Moon uses the full power of the Silver Crystal to bring back Chibi-usa and to stop Death Phantom from achieving his goal of total eradication.

- All Your Powers Combined: The Inner Guardians channel their power to Usagi and Chibi-usa to give their crystals the power to destroy Death Phantom.
- As You Know: Artemis reminds Luna that once the Dark Gate is completed, the planet Nemesis will unleash a strong burst of dark energy that will destroy the Earth.
- Autobots, Rock Out!: The final battle between light and darkness features the song "La Soldier
", which was also used as the theme song for the stage musicals. In the DiC dub, "The Power Of Love" is played. - Beam-O-War: Neo Queen Serenity battles Death Phantom's dark energy with her own light energy.
- Big Damn Reunion: The last scene of the season has Chibi-usa reuniting with her parents and the future Inner Guardians in the future.
- Call-Back: Just like with her mother, Chibi-usa receives the Silver Crystal from her tears.

- Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask remember King Endymion's words on needing a strong love to win the war.

- Death Seeker: Black Lady isn't bothered by the possibility of dying after embracing Nemesis' energy burst as she's come to accept that darkness exists in the world.
- Dub-Induced Plotline Change: In the original and Viz versions, the Sailor Team beg Sailor Moon not to use the Silver Crystal against Death Phantom as doing so would ultimately lead to her death. In the DiC Dub, since the possibility of death was removed, the Sailor Scouts and Darien encourage Sailor Moon to give it her best.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: Sailor Moon, Chibi-usa and their friends succeed in vanquishing Death Phantom thus allowing the beautiful future of Crystal Tokyo to prosper once again. And while Chibi-Usa has to part ways with Usagi and the others, she was able to return home to find her restored parents and the Sailor Senshi awaiting her return.
- The End of the World as We Know It: Death Phantom's black crystal has matured enough to take in Nemesis' dark energy which would destroy the world leaving nothing but darkness and ruin.
- Flashback-Montage Realization: Usagi helps Black Lady remember all the happy and pleasant memories she had with the Inner Guardians to remind her that she was never alone or unloved.
- The Gloves Come Off: Sailor Moon decides to use the full power of the Silver Crystal in order to defeat Death Phantom from destroying her world.
- Hope Spot: After seeing Tuxedo Mask risk his life to protect Moon along with the other Guardians vouching that they all consider themselves to be her friend, Black Lady begins to doubt her nihilistic beliefs. But then Wiseman shows up to remind her not to fall for their "lies".

- When Sailor Moon calls on the power of the Silver Crystal to help her bring back Chibi-usa, she wears her Neo Queen Serenity attire. It happens a second time when she has her final showdown with Death Phantom.

- It's All My Fault: Chibi-usa blames herself for putting everyone in grave danger over her actions.

- Now, Let Me Carry You: Armed with her own Silver Crystal, Chibi-usa decides to use it's power to save everyone after they all went through the trouble to protect her.
- Oh, Crap!: Death Phantom isn't too pleased with Chibi-usa's trump card.Death Phantom: What's this?! A SECOND SILVER CRYSTAL?!
- Once More, with Clarity: Neo Queen Serenity brings up the rainy day memory where Chibi-usa was crying over her parents not helping her. The future queen explains that they wanted their daughter to be able to stand up on her own so she can overcome future adversities.
- The Power of Love:
- Usagi and Mamoru use their love for Chibi-usa to help her come to her senses while showing her memories of all the examples of love given to her by them and her aunts.
- The voice of Neo Queen Serenity explains that Usagi and Chibi-usa's love for everyone was so strong that they were allowed continue living despite using the full power of their Silver Crystals.
- The Reveal: The Silver Crystal of the Future is revealed to have been inside Chibi-usa's body the entire time.
- Taking the Bullet: Tuxedo Mask shields Sailor Moon from a strike of dark lightning summoned by Black Lady.
- This Cannot Be!: Death Phantom is in utter disbelief as he's vaporized by the power of the Silver Crystals.
- Villain Opening Scene: The episode starts with Death Phantom proudly declaring that it's time to plunge the world into absolute darkness.
- Worth It: While initially believing themselves to have died and gone to heaven, Usagi and Chibi-usa don't mind as long as they were able to protect everyone.
