Olivia has a unique way of dealing with the out-of-control.
Olivia, the Kahuna of Akala Island, stumbles upon the Pokémon School. She is there to take Professor Kukui's students on a long field trip to her island to learn about different Pokémon, and perhaps take new challenges. The first challenge comes during the trip there when they find a Wailmer afflicted by Confusion.
This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
- Call-Back: Ash gets run over by Tauros again.
- The Klutz: Olivia in the anime is a bit of this, stumbling frequently.
- "Shut Up" Kiss: Olivia gives one of the Tauros a kiss to calm it. She also later does this to the Wailmer to calm it.
- Super Drowning Skills: When Wailmer is freed from the rocks, it sinks into the ocean, still afflicted by a Bruxish's Confusion. Olivia, Ash, and Lana have to dive down to save it.
