Recap / Phineas And Ferb Return Policy

Go To

Doofenshmirtz is annoyed at waiting in long lines to return things, so he invents a Back-to-the-store-inator to do the job for him. Also, Phineas and Ferb create extreme batting cages for an ultimate baseball game, and Candace wanders away from her errands with Mom to go to a wild water park with Jeremy.

Tropes:

  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Baljeet once again asks "Where is Perry?"
  • Continuity Nod:
  • Double Take: Candace at the extreme water park wonders out loud who designed it, and the attendant says, "Couple of kids, actually. One of them had a triangle head.", to which Candace replies, "Wait, what?!"
  • Epic Fail: Buford's brute strength causes baseballs to come apart or get stuck in the netting.
  • Exact Words: When Baljeet asks "Where is Perry", Phineas responds that "He's at home", and we whip pan to see Perry on home plate.
  • Foreshadowing: Near the start of the episode Candace is convinced by Linda to accompany her to the store, forgetting she's still on the phone with Stacy, hinting at how she would do the same thing again later, going to the water park with Jeremy, forgetting to notify Linda.
  • Gasshole: Jeremy catches Candace at the embarrassing hygiene products aisle of the store and she is embarrassed by this, which is why she agrees to go to the water park with him. Later, she tells Jeremy the truth and Jeremy accepts her for this. But just as she hugs, Candace farts.
  • Genki Girl: Isabella has her moments during the baseball game.
  • Kitchen Sink Included: When the inator goes into random fire mode, a kitchen sink is seen being returned to the Super Duper Mega Store counter.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Monogram had a mishap with a defective electric razor and as a result, the middle of his face and hair are shaven.
Major Monogram: Just not comfortable with my eyebrows moving independently of each other.
Carl: But you are rockin' the reverse mohawk, sir.
Major Monogram: Get with it, Carl. The hip kids refer to it as a "hawk-mo".
  • Not So Innocent Whistling: The security photo of Doof waiting in line at a return counter with an inator has him doing this.
  • Shout-Out: Buford's successful bat is a parody of The Natural, even having a pastiche of Randy Newman's score.
