Jeramie: Racules has proposed a peace treaty between mankind and the Bognaarok.
Given their shared interests in the matter, Kaguragi and Jeramie side with him.
Meanwhile, Rita and Hymeno learn the truth behind the assassination of Gokkan's previous king, as well as unearthing a link between it and the Fury of the Gods.
It was at that moment that the Bognaarok launched an attack on N'Kosopa!
...Or so the story goes.

As the others feared, Racules' peace talks didn't exactly go as expected. He has decided to make his move on making the other kingdoms bend to him, starting with N'Kosopa! To protect his kingdom, Yanma devises a plan with Hymeno, Rita, Shiokara, and Sebastian, capturing Gira so that he doesn't interfere.

Meanwhile, Jeramie tries to figure out the truth behind Racules' actions. Despite wanting to look on the bright side of things, he soon finds out that the legendary Bognaarok warrior, Daigorg, was revived and has his sights set on Tikyū...

Tropes

  • Aesop Amnesia: Despite having learned that people needing to navigate around him causes more problems, Jeramie decides that hijacking King-Ohger during a crisis is the best way to contribute.
  • Armor-Piercing Question: When Shiokara informs Gira of Yanma's intent to let everyone else escape before he does, Gira asks if Yanma would really run. This makes Shiokara realize what Yanma really plans to do and he frees Gira so he can save Yanma.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Jeramie wished for peace between Humans and the Bognaarok. Peace was achieved between them and the humans in Shugoddam.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Gira saves Yanma right at the moment Daigorg was going to finish him off, making his survival known to Racules and Shugoddam.
  • Break the Haughty: Attempted. Rita calls Jeramie out for assuming everyone's out for power by stating that the monarchs are pooling their power together to combat Racules' invasion on N'Kosopa, whereas he has no power and is simply mewling over having been manipulated. He tunes them out and simply re-affirms his Control Freak philosophy of needing to solve things himself, the message of teamwork flying over his head.
  • Call-Back:
  • Camera Abuse: Yanma's response to Racules' ultimatum is to shoot the camera.
  • Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Gira confronting Racules, clearly intent on defeating the tyrannical king for good.
Gira: (points his sword at Racules and Daigorg, then smirks) I have returned... from the depths of Hell.
  • Clipped-Wing Angel: To help protect N'Kosopa, Jeramie hijacks the Shugods and forces them to merge with God Tarantula into a new iteration of King-Ohger. The result is a forced union barely held together by Tarantula's webbing; more than enough to deal with the giant Elite Mook, but zero match for a well-placed shot from God Kuwagata Zero.
  • Cue the Sun: A dark subversion. Daigorg arrives on the scene just as the sun rises over N'Kosopa.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • Daigorg brutally defeats Yanma and Jeramie with merely the wind pressure from his axe swing.
    • Jeramie forcibly fuses Legend King-Ohger with God Tarantula, the unwilling union making it easy pickings for God Kuwagata Zero.
  • Determinator: Despite hanging on by a thread and under the threat of death by Daigorg's hand, Yanma refuses to give up for the sake of his country, telling Daigorg to give everything that he's got.
  • Evil Laugh: Racules does a chilling one after he reveals to Jeramie that he helped the Bognaarok revive Daigorg, and again when Daigorg seemingly kills Yanma.
  • Go Through Me: Yanma's plan for the invasion is for him to confront Racules alone as the citizens of N'Kosopa evacuate, even if it comes at the cost of his life. Luckily, the last-minute arrival of Gira prevents his death from occurring.
  • Hero with Bad Publicity: Racules claims the other monarchs are using King-Ohger for evil purposes, so Shuggdom's citizens are cheering for him when he takes out the mech.
  • Heroic BSoD: Jeramie completely shuts down for a good part of the episode after Racules reveals that he contributed to Daigorg's revival, partially getting over it by forcing the idea of his "protagonist" status.
  • Heroic Second Wind: Deconstructed. Jeramie is despondent upon discovering Racules exploited potential peace between humanity and the Boggnarok for a power-play, fueling his assumption that the monarchs are simply vying for power. Rita finds him and tries to give him a Rousing Speech to get him to aid in the protection of N'Kosopa with God Tarantula. Already assuming that they're also an ambitious power-seeker, Jeramie tunes Rita out and peps himself up by re-affirming his own Control Freak philosophy - coming to the conclusion that everyone's arguments are invalid and he simply needs to take over the situation; leading to him hijacking Legend King-Ohger and contributing to the villains' goals by getting the now-weakened mech shot down after declaring his "protagonist status."
  • Ignored Aesop: Played for Drama. Rita explains to Jeramie that the rulers don't seek power, but offer theirs to one another as a team. Jeramie tunes out what they're saying and rather than work alongside the rulers to stop Racules at a crucial moment, he decides he's letting everyone's viewpoints get in the way and accidently contributes to the tyrant's good publicity by hijacking the Shugods in a desperate attempt to solve the issue himself; making King-Ohger vulnerable to a well-placed shot from God Kuwagata Zero.
  • Imperfect Ritual: Jeramie tries to forcibly combine God Tarantula with Legend King-Ohger by using the former's webs, resulting in an unstable combination that's left vulnerable to God Kuwagata Zero.
  • Internal Reveal:
  • Knight of Cerebus: In an already serious episode, the sheer mention of Daigorg is enough to make even Jeramie terrified. When he physically appears for the first time, he proves his status as The Dreaded by instantly knocking Yanma and Jeramie out of their transformations by using the winds gusts from a single swipe of his axe.
  • Loophole Abuse: Racules agreed to peace between the Bognaarok and the humans... that is, only the humans that live in Shugoddam.
  • Never Trust a Trailer: The previews for the episode framed this as though King-Ohger would receive an upgrade this episode. King-Ohger is actually hijacked by Jeramie into a Clipped-Wing Angel form that God Kuwagata Zero dismantles.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Jeramie ends up doing this when he forces King-Ohger to combine with God Tarantula. Since the combination was not a willing one, it ends up being unstable in battle.
  • Out of Focus: Kaguragi only appears in one scene to talk with Yanma to discuss Kaguragi's allegiance to Racules and the latter's resulting distrust.
  • The Reveal:
    • Dethnaarok came to power thanks to the The Dreaded general Daigorg.
    • Daigorg was able to be revived thanks to Racules trading some of Shugoddam's technology over to the Bognaarok in exchange for "peace".
  • Shoo Out the Clowns: Gira lapsing into his "Tyrant King" persona before the Boggnarok invasion is met with barely-restrained hostility from Yanma when a lecture fails. Gira is then taken away and tied up out of sight while Yanma, Himeno and Rita defend N'Kosopa, only returning to pull a Big Damn Heroes moment during the final stretch.
Yanma: (agitated, his sword to Gira's neck) You keep screwing around...and I'll take you down right now.
  • Single-Stroke Battle: Daigorg is nicknamed the "Deathblow General" thanks to his ability annihilate foes with a single swing of his weapon. Daigorg easily lives up to this sobriquet by defeating Jeramie and Yanman in a single strike, causing both of them to demorph.
  • Unspoken Plan Guarantee: Yanma's plan to confront Racules and evacuate his people isn't elaborated upon until after Hymeno, Rita and Sebastian arrive to do their part.
  • You Called Me "X"; It Must Be Serious: Yanma calls Hymeno by her proper name instead of the usual "Princess" to sincerely ask for her help in evacuating N'Kosopa's citizens.
