Airdate: July 27, 2019

Aspheera and her troops besiege the Monastery of Spinjitzu while Lloyd, Nya, and Zane try to discover the location of the second Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu.

  • Hypocrite: Kai accuses Wu of being one for telling them that they should take responsibility when he's still running away from his mistakes. Wu, after struggling to justify himself, ultimately concedes Kai's point.
  • It's All My Fault: After seeing the damage Aspheera has caused, Wu decides to turn himself over to her to spare his students from her wrath, admitting that he can't teach anyone responsibility if he keeps running away from his own mistakes. Kai, realizing he went too far in lashing out, stops him and apologizes for the things he said. He convinces Wu not to go through with it by pointing out that there's no guarantee that Aspheera will stop at just taking revenge on him and she'll still be a threat to everyone else, as well as the fact that they're still a family.
  • Let Me Get This Straight...: The episode begins with everyone summing up Wu's actions explained in the previous episode.
    Jay: You're the Deceiver!?
Kai: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Let me get this straight. You broke your own father's law, snuck into the land of Serpentine, and nearly started a war?
    Wu: It-It wasn't quite that—
Cole: And you befriended a snake and thought it would be a good idea to teach her Spinjitzu?
Wu: Well, it was a complicated—
P.I.X.A.L.: And then you stole a dangerous scroll from your father, the First Spinjitzu Master, and broke the law again to defeat her?
[Everyone gives him a Disapproving Look]
Wu: Yes, okay! Yes! I admit it all. What can I say? I was young, and reckless, and-and [sighs] ...foolish. I never thought to hear the name Aspheera again. I thought all of this was in the past.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: When Wu decides to turn himself over to Aspheera to save his students from her wrath, Kai realizes he went too far in lashing out and stops him from going through with it, apologizing for getting so angry with his teacher. Kai points out that Aspheera can't be trusted and there's no guarantee that she's going to stop at just taking revenge on him.
  • The Siege: As indicated by the title, Aspheera spends the episode doing this. Luckily, Pixal has installed many defence mechanisms that stall her.
  • Takes One to Kill One: The power of the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu is so great that the only thing that can really match it, is, well, the other one.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Played for Drama and Deconstructed. Everyone at the monastery, especially Kai, call out Wu for his actions in his childhood that would lead to Aspheera attacking Ninjago city. Kai on the other hand goes a little too far with the criticism that when Aspheera starts trying to break down the door, Wu decides to turn himself over to Aspheera in order to spare everyone from her wrath. Seeing this, Kai apologizes for his words and encourages him not to go through with it, pointing out that there's no guarantee that she'll stop at just taking revenge on him.
