Get some rest, Young Izuku Midoriya. After the season you had, you've more than earned it.

Tropes:

  • Adaptational Expansion: Midoriya still hasn't forgotten All For One's words. In an anime-exclusive ending, still recovering from his tiring and possibly traumatic adventure, he has a nightmare of both AFO and Shigaraki, causing him to wake up with Blackwhip launched on instinct. Luckily, Uraraka and the other classmates are a distance away when they see him startled, but reassure Midoriya that he is still safe and not alone.
  • Asshole Victim: One inmate of Tartarus seemed to have been imprisoned for mass abduction (or "collecting" in his case) of women. Stain slits his throat before he even steps out to join his fellow escapees and try this again. There is a good chance he won't be missed if his attitude was anything to go by.
  • Bring It: Stain leaves All Might after delivering the information regarding Shigaraki, but not before challenging him to find and kill the Hero Killer when the All For One crisis is over.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Midoriya makes peace with his classmates and All Might, finally allowing him to get some sleep after two months of endless fighting and rescuing. After receiving some vital information from Stain, All Might learns that Shigaraki will be ready to strike in three days. While Midoriya and the rest of Class 1-A prepare for what's ahead, the United Nations and the world's top Heroes discuss how to answer All Might's call for help. Star And Stripe, the United States of America's top Hero, does just that ahead of everyone and heads to Japan.
  • The Cameo: Those who have seen the World Heroes' Mission movie may treat this episode's brief appearances of Salaam of Egypt and Big Red Dot of Singapore as this, since the movie gave them both a bit of active roles. They both are ready to join All Might, but their delegates won't let them just yet.
  • Cassandra Truth: Zigzagged. Stain doesn't believe that the scrawny man before him is All Might, even after seeing his buff form. Stain reminds the "imposter" that "All Might's" power was never the reason why people looked up to him. It was his sense of justice that gave people hope. All Might himself believes in the end there is an implication that Stain was testing him, especially when passing along vital information during his escape from Tartarus.
  • Catapult Nightmare: Izuku suffers one of these at the episode's ending, bolting awake and activating Black Whip on instinct, making it clear that All For One's threats against him haven't been completely dispelled by his classmate's support and getting some much-needed recuperation. However, they are present when he's having a brief moment of panic to reassure him that he can still afford to rest for the moment.
  • Cue the Sun: After several episodes of rain, the skies finally begin to clear up, a sign that hope is still present.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Stain may be a ruthless murderer but he's never interested in All For One's ideals. He just wanted to get rid of the "False Heroes" only interested in fame, but not to the point where actual ones start to quit while evil runs unopposed. He takes a piece of data from a dying prison guard and promises to deliver it to the right people. After his talk with All Might, he gives him the information containing it in hopes of turning this around.
  • Freudian Slip: Bakugo almost calls Midoriya "Deku" again, which is justified as he had called him that so many times for years. Midoriya tries to tell him that's not necessary but, naturally, Bakugo is stubborn.
  • Go-to-Sleep Ending: After a refreshing bath, a good meal, and some reconciliation between him, his classmates and All Might, Midoriya finally gets some well-deserved shut eye, marking the end of his story for the season.
  • Last Episode, New Character: Star and Stripe's first appearance at the near end of the episode and season. She is revealed as the Number One Hero in the United States of America, bearing a near resemblance to All Might and carrying a more visual American theme.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Stain makes an explicit point about defying this to All Might, in a depressed state about his inability to directly help anymore because of his weakened body. He points out to him how a random civilian knowingly risks her life every day to remove the "I AM NOT HERE" placard attached to his statue at Kamino Ward, before revealing to him that she's the same nameless civilian he protected from All For One's attack at the cost of exposing his true form on national television. Despite the dropping faith in heroes all over the country, she still comes out to the statue to honour the memory of the True Hero who protected her and everybody to the bitter end, quietly telling his image to 'keep doing your best' like she id. A watching All Might is brought to tears at her unshakeable faith in him as Stain then leaves him with the information he recovered from Tartarus' security logs, challenging All Might to use it to resolve the current crises and then afterwards, come and stop the Hero Killer as a true hero once again.
  • Open Secret: While rumors are still going around about One For All, Class 1-A have already experienced the [nearly] full extent of it while they were catching Midoriya after he left letters to them before. Now, they are free to talk about how he is able to handle such power after being originally Quirkless, as his previous injuries during their first semester in school are finally starting to make sense in hindsight.
  • The Pig-Pen: Kaminari mentioned that Midoriya seriously needed a bath during their class's "fight". Now that he's back in U.A, the boys rush to give him one.
  • The Reveal: While figuring out how All For One synchronizes with the consciousness in Shigaraki, All Might reveals that he can pass his thoughts into One For All within Midoriya, which explains why there is a shadowy vestige of him. However, he is unable to retrieve the vestige's communication, except for when he was physically touching Midoria whilst watching over the boy during his recovery, and even then, it was limited to sensing the emotions possessed by his vestige.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: The United Nations figure out how to assist Japan, as each country is dealing with their own crises. Star and Stripe, the USA's Number One Hero, skips the proverbial red tape and heads there with a full aerial squadron to help All Might, whom she calls her "master". She's warned by one of the pilots about how much trouble she'll get in, but she refuses to ignore the call.
  • Sins of Our Fathers: While Midoriya was the center of attention in the worst way last episode, Todoroki believes that he is given some dirty looks by a few of U.A's refugees thanks to Dabi/Toya's broadcasted attack on their father Endeavor. Kirishima is frustrated, saying that Shoto doesn't deserve the flak because of Endeavor's past treatment of his family.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: In a way, Stain tests All Might's resolve by telling him that he can continue helping the country and its people, even without his Quirk or even without fighting.
  • Wham Shot: A young woman can be seen removing the "I AM NOT HERE" sign on the All Might statue and, according to Stain, it sounds like it wasn't the first time. To All Might's surprise, though, this is the same woman he protected from one of All For One's underhanded attacks during their Final Battle, back in Kamino in Season 3.

It's a direct request from All Might. My master's in trouble! There's no reason to think twice!
~Star And Stripe
