- Amusing Injuries: Ingrid, Windsor, and Slips underwent a series of these, throughout the episode, every time they lost at volleyball against the unstoppable Lupe and Jake.
- Ass Shove: When the gang dogpiled onto the same chair, Jake managed to shove himself up Windsor's buttcrack.
- Beautiful All Along: Deidre Koala actually looks really beautiful, if you just put bows on her.
- Coconut Meets Cranium: Characters keep getting hit by coconuts throughout the episode.
- Foreign Queasine: Deidre's eucalyptus-themed food.
- Hidden Depths: Lupe and Jake are revealed to be skilled volley ball players.
- Human Hammer-Throw: Henry was used as a volley ball.
- I Just Want to Have Friends: Deidre desperately needed friends, but nobody would talk to her, because she was so gross.
- The Makeover: Jake and Lupe gave Deidre one of these.
- Medium Awareness: When Lupe and Jake gave Deidre her makeover via montage, they went to a building called "Montage Groomers".
- Motor Mouth: Deidre rambled to Adam about really disgusting topics, while also speaking slowly and heavily breathing.
- Photo-Booth Montage: One happened with Adam and Deidre.

- Running Gag: Someone getting hit buy a coconut. This is usually the volley ball team, opposing Lupe and Jake.
- Stronger Than They Look: Lupe has the upper body strength to spike a coconut volley ball down to earth like a meteor, giving anyone within the drop zone, in this case, Slips, a comical cartoon concussion.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: After helping Deidre become popular and beautiful, Deidre abandoned her unpopular friends and joined The Jungle Squad.
