Recap / Martha Speaks S 5 E 3 The Puppy Tooth Fairy

Go To

Helen, Martha, Skits, T.D., Alice, Milo, and Lily are playing Red Rover in the Lee yard (even though Martha dislikes it). Milo then reveals that he has a loose tooth, but Martha doesn't understand what the big deal is. The kids explain about the Tooth Fairy, then Martha observes that Lily also has a loose tooth.

The next day, Milo reveals to Helen, T.D., and the Lorraine dogs that he got a comic book from the Tooth Fairy but Lily got nothing. This makes the humans and Lily sad, and Martha angry. Martha insists that the Tooth Fairy doesn't like dogs, but Helen and T.D. think that she just made a mistake, since dogs have no pillows to put their teeth under. Martha decides to appoint herself the Puppy Tooth Fairy. Helen makes Martha a costume consisting of a wand, tutu, and fake wings, Martha decides to give dog food as presents, and Skits decides to be Martha's assistant to help her carry the dog treats. He is also given a pair of fake wings.

That night, Martha breaks into the Lee house and Terrence nearly catches her, but doesn't. Skits forgot to bring the biscuits, so he and Martha decide to give Lily a stick instead. However, after giving it, Martha accidentally awakens Lily, so she runs out and calls herself the "worst Puppy Tooth Fairy ever". However, she perks up when Milo (who was woken by Lily) sees Martha's wand lying on the ground and thinks the Tooth Fairy must have left the stick.

The next morning, someone phones up and reveals that Mandarin, Streak, and Butterscotch have also lost teeth, since Milo told his friends. They deliver the dog treats to the puppy trio (despite having a close call when Skits stands on a squeaky toy), but are tired the next day at the park, which worries Rinty. He also reveals that Bob lost a tooth, so Martha and Skits play Puppy Tooth Fairy for him.

The next day, Martha is starting to get frustrated with being the Puppy Tooth Fairy due to the lack of sleep, but she and Skits have to deliver to puppies with lost teeth at the shelter. There, they see a kitten and Martha feels sorry for her so decide to become Kitten Tooth Fairies as well.

The next day, Martha and Skits are very tired from the lack of sleep. Helen notices this and reveals that the puppy triplets and shelter puppies have lost more teeth, and so has Tiger Baby. Martha falls asleep and dreams that she has to collect Jeffy's lost tusk and a whale's lost tooth, and then a real Puppy Tooth Fairy appears and agrees to take over.

When Martha wakes up, it turns out that she and Skits slept through the night and thus the animals weren't visited. However, it then turns out that someone unknown had delivered treats to them after all. Martha then sees a doggie treat in her chair, and takes this as a sign that the Puppy Tooth Fairy really exists, but it's never revealed who delivered the treats.
