"A Moon's Trip to Paris": Andy learns about movie magic in Paris.

"A Moon's Trip to Paris" contains the following tropes:

  • Amateur Film-Making Plot: Andy gets inspired by Georges Méliès and decides to make his own movie with the other Circo members.
  • Broken Tears: Hockbar sobs when he sees Fabuloso as a chicken. As he does, he tells the chicken that it will be their secret.
  • Dramatic Irony: Hockbar spends the episode not knowing that Fabuloso didn't actually turn into a chicken.
  • Forced Transformation: Andy's movie involves Señor Fabuloso turning into a chicken against his will. Hockbar watches the clip, just when Fabuloso has walked away from the set, but since the chicken is still on set, Hockbar thinks that Fabuloso really has become a chicken.
  • Freak Out: Hockbar freaks out when he thinks that Fabuloso has turned into a chicken.
  • Freudian Slip: "I'm allergic to fea-feather, I mean, fennel?"
  • Idiot Ball: Hockbar is usually the sensible one, but Andy's special effects are quite convincing to him, that he thinks it's real.
  • Movie-Making Mess: Andy really struggles with making two Lunas for the movie. At one point, Leo tries to hold Luna up on a rope, but she falls and breaks the table.
Andy: Man, this doesn't seem like it's gonna work. Georges Méliès' movies shocked and amazed people. This feels shockingly un-amazing.
  • Shout-Out: The gang learns about Georges Méliès, and watch one of his films — A Trip to the Moon.
  • Wingding Eyes: Señor Fabuloso gets stars in his eyes at the prospect of starring in Andy's movie.

"If a Hamster Could Fly": Carmen chases a hot air balloon.

"If a Hamster Could Fly" contains the following tropes:

  • Acrophobic Bird: Carmen is a butterfly, but she is hesitant about going in the hot air balloon. Then again, her Wings Do Nothing.
  • Balloon-Bursting Bird: Honey's balloons get popped by a flock of birds, causing her to fall.
  • Balloonacy: Honey uses a bunch of helium balloons to go up into the sky and see Paris.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: Honey throws a tantrum when Luna suggests doing something else besides riding in the hot air balloon. She berates Leo and Andy for respecting Carmen's discomfort, then tries to go to the sky by herself.
  • Butt-Monkey: Jacques goes through a lot of hell and Amusing Injuries.
  • Circling Birdies: When Jacques finally climbs into the balloon, weary and beaten, he gets circling stars.
  • Continuity Nod: The episode continues Honey's love of Paris from "Honey in Paris".
  • Face Your Fears: Carmen decides to face her acrophobia by going into the hot air balloon to save Honey.
  • Foreign Cuss Word: Jacques says "zut alors", which is French for "damn then".
  • Gravity Is a Harsh Seamstress: When Jacques holds onto the hot air balloon rope, he crashes into a clothesline and gets Goofy Print Underwear on his head.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Luna respects Carmen's decision to not ride in the hot air balloon, offering to do something else.
  • Tears of Joy: Jacques wipes these when he thinks his mother would be proud of him for being called to a noble cause. Honey's songs also says that her tears of joy are gonna rain down on everyone else.
  • Tempting Fate: "Nothing is going to bring me down today!" Cue balloon-bursting birds.
  • Wingding Eyes: Honey gets balloons in her eyes when she realizes she can use helium balloons to fly.
  • You Are the Translated Foreign Word: "Wait! Attendez!"
