Recap / Kamen Rider Gaim E 2 Certain Kill Pine Kick

Go To

Kouta tries to use his new abilities as Kamen Rider Gaim to help out at his part time job, but he only gets in the way. And when Yuuya mysteriously disappears, Kouta wonders if what happened in the forest was real, and now that he is in charge of Team Gaim, he must lead the group in a dance-off against Kaito Kumon's Team Baron.

  • Establishing Character Moment: Kaito shows a Teach a Man to Fish philosophy by telling a boy stuck in a tree to jump down himself, then catches him and congratulates him, saying he has the strength to take care of himself from now on.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: This episode gives us an unknown individual handling a Lock Seed in the opening. This is significant because it appears to be the Matsubokkuri Lockseed and said individual is wearing a Sengoku Driver.
  • Minor Insult Meltdown: The members of Team Baron hear a spectator remarking that she thought Team Gaim were better dancers. This pisses them off so much that they march right over to Team Gaim's headquarters and challenge them to an Inves Game, with the stakes being that Gaim will have to give up their Access Card (and effectively disband) if Baron wins.
  • Mundane Utility: Following his first transformation, Kouta uses his new powers to try and help with his jobs.
  • Mythology Gag: Kouta trying out different henshin poses runs the gamut. One can make out Kamen Rider Super-1 and Kamen Rider Amazon, among others.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: It was Kouta who summoned the Shika Inves, but it only got loose due to Kaito's team cheating.
  • Torso with a View: What happens to the Evolved Shika Inves when Gaim, in Pine Arms, Rider Kicks him.
