Johnny wants to purchase a violent video game named Toxic Battle Blast 4, but Johnny's parents find it inappropriate.

Tropes:

  • An Aesop: Violent video games, (especially Mortal Kombat, Grand Theft Auto or Carmageddon) as well as video games with explicit nudity, excessive swear words, drugs and Nazi-related content are inappropriate for people under 18 and cause negative and the effect of imitation of violent scenes to minors. This means if you're a minor, don't buy those games and purchase a game suitable for your age (preferably a kid friendly game such as Super Mario Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog or Gran Turismo). If you're a parent, don't gift inappropriate games to children.
  • Big "NO!": Johnny delivers one when Fillmore, the clerk of Game Galaxy won't let Johnny buy the game for being a violent game for his age.
  • Downer Ending: Johnny and Dukey finally get the game thanks to an old lady but four seconds later, they get scared of the game.
  • Final Solution: The final solution to get the game is with a help of a old lady by letting her purchase the game for Johnny and Dukey.
  • Four Is Death: The game that Johnny and Dukey want to play is called "Toxic Battle Blast 4" and after playing for 4 seconds, they get scared.
  • Kids Shouldn't Watch Horror Films: or rather, Kids Shouldn't Play Horror Games. Johnny and Dukey get scared of the monster that appears in the game and get nightmares.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Johnny attempts to buy the game wearing only a mustache which the clerk refuses to let him to buy and they insult him saying that lacks ingenuity and Dukey tries to do so too and the clerk gets scared and electrocutes him with a taser.
  • Robot Me: Susan and Mary find a robot version of Hugh which eventually explodes upon entering Game Galaxy when trying to buy the game.
  • Shout-Out:
    • A clear reference to the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and the fact that this game is rated M for "Mom Won't Let Kids under 18 Play It", clear reference to the "Mature" rating in ESRB.
      • In a related note, the "M" letter shows in the game making reference to that rating.
    • When Johnny is looking through the doors in the lab, there is a blue flying cow. This is a reference to The Legend of Zelda.
    • When Johnny looks for game cases "Super Lame O.2" is a reference to Super Mario Bros., "Cooking with Baby" is a reference to Cooking Mama, and Toxic Battle Blast 4 is a reference to Fallout.
