Uh Oh! It's a Burglar!
- Accidental Theft: Wally accidentally shoplifted a bowtie. He dressed like a burglar to sneak it back in the store at night.
- Bedsheet Ghost: A sheet being put on Wally somehow makes everyone think he's a ghost.
- The Cameo: Weirdly Gruesome from The Flintstones appears in the movie.
- Continuity Nod: Many of the characters wear the same outfits they wore in "Spell Book".
- Description Cut: Jabberjaw says that Magilla must be having fun at the movies. Cut to Magilla clearly not having fun at the movies.
- The Ditherer: Wally Gator is unsure on what bowtie to wear, which really annoys Loopy.
- Ladies and Germs: At the movie screening, Snagglepuss addresses the audience as "Boils, ghouls, and all night dwellers in between".
- No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Despite Wally trying to return the bowtie to the store, Touche Turtle still arrests him for breaking and entering.
- Overly Long Gag:
- At the start of the episode, there's a pretty elongated gag of Wally Gator trying to pick out a bowtie.
- Snagglepuss groaning spookily.
- Police Are Useless: When the store is being robbed, Jabberjaw calls the cops. However, since the Goofy Guards are at the horror movie screening, they don't even bother to pick up their phone.
- "Scooby-Doo" Hoax: There wasn't really a ghost, and Wally wasn't trying to rob the store. He was only trying to return the bowtie he accidentally shoplifted.
- Tailfin Walking: Lampshaded when Jabberjaw gets caught in the bear trap she and Loopy set up and exclaims, "Ow! My tail slash foot!"
- Voice-Only Cameo: Fred and Barney make voice-only cameos in the horror movie Magilla is watching. Barney warns Fred not to use the cursed toilet.
- Whole Costume Reference: Snagglepuss wears an outfit of The Phantom of the Opera.
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad Rat Race
- The Cameo: Oh yes. This is basically "Fanservice: The Episode".
- Dino and Orbitty appear as spring riders at a playground.
- Dirty Dawg makes an appearance as a caricature artist.
- Morocco Mole is also back, in his original design. He runs Sauna Sweats and Sandwiches.
- We also get Inch High, Private Eye.
- Disproportionate Retribution: For calling their comedy album bad, Lippy and Hardy locked Inch High in a treasure chest.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: At the movie theater, there are some pretty cool posters of:
- Brak and Zorak in a Brokeback Mountain parody.
- Atom Ant getting stepped on.
- Secret Squirrel in "The Blow-ening". He is in his Super Secret incarnation.
- Good Cop/Bad Cop: Yogi, Cindy, and Boo-Boo interrogate Peter using this method. Boo-Boo is the good cop, Yogi is the bad cop, and Cindy is the 'rad cop'.
- Hey, That's My Line!: Lippy says the treasure is "Nifty, even." Snagglepuss calls him out for that, as saying "even" is his thing.
- Make-Out Kids: After Hardy praises Lippy for being politically correct, they start making out, which disgusts Snagglepuss.
- Mugged for Disguise: Yogi, Cindy, Boo-Boo, Augie, Shag, Yakky, Jabberjaw, and Loopy steal Morocco Mole's clothes to disguise the treasure chest as a person.
- Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: To It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and Rat Race.
- Treasure Hunt Episode: The episode centers on the Jellystonians racing to find Lippy and Hardy's buried treasure.
