This is Inanimate Insanity II
"Breaking the Ice" is the 1st episode of Inanimate Insanity II, and the 19th overall episode of Inanimate Insanity, released on April 2, 2013.
Episode contains the following tropes:
- Big "NO!": When Hotel OJ gets destroyed by MePhone4's plane, Salt tells OJ that they can fix up the hotel together, then drags him inside while he yells "NOOOO".
- Delayed Safety Feature: MePhone4 jumps out of a plane to introduce the second season, however, his dramatic entrance is ruined when the parachute doesn't deploy until he lands hard on the ground.
- Disproportionate Retribution: When Knife calls Baseball fat, he punts him into the water with all his stregnth.
- Fantastic Racism: Lightbulb teases the grand slams because most of them are armless.
- Hypocritical Humor: Trophy throws a dodgeball at Cheesy for making a dirty joke, Knife does the same to Trophy.
- Instantly Proven Wrong: Salt claims that nobody likes Balloon. Balloon tells her that isn't true.. only for Toilet to appear and yell "OH MY GOSH BALLOON NOBODY LIKES YOU!"
- Lampshade Hanging: Balloon only speaks in archive audio for the latter half of the first season due to his voice actor being fired for hacking the AnimationEpic channel. He continues to in the beginning of the episode, but as soon as he is chosen for season 2, he starts saying new lines due to getting a new voice actor.
- Literal-Minded: When Trophy claims his middle name is horseplay, Tissues claims that that's an odd middle name.
- "Metaphor" Is My Middle Name: MePhone4 explains that the challenge is to kick everyone off the ice. He then states that "all pushing, shoving, kicking, and horseplay is especially allowed." Then this exchange happens:Trophy: Horseplay is my middle name!
- Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: Baseball does this twice:
- Salt decides to take a break from exercising to get a cookie. Baseball, who was just vomited on by Lightbulb after she ate too many cookies, tells her, "Don't. You. Dare."
- During the challenge, Knife attempts to push Baseball off the ice, but fails due to his "fatness". Baseball takes a deep breath, and then yells "I'm! Not! Fat!" before kicking Knife off.
- Record Needle Scratch: When Mephone4's parachute fails to work.
- Security Cling: When Bomb gets scared by MePhone4's airplane, you can see him jumping into OJ's arms.
- Stock Scream: When multiple contestants are blown off the ice by Microphone's scream, the Wilhelm Scream can be heard.
- Suspiciously Specific Denial: Balloon writes "Balloon dident doo this" next to the rude graffiti he makes of OJ during the opening scene with everyone in the hotel.
- Talk to the Fist: After Knife rejects Trophy's offer of an alliance, Trophy responds that they'll settle things like men in that case. Knife promptly punches him off the ice before Trophy can finish elaborating.
- [Verb] This!: When Pickle and Knife are playing video games together, Pickle reminds Knife that he needs to shoot the enemies in the game, not just jump on them. Knife replies "Shoot this!" and kills Pickle's character.
- Vomit Discretion Shot: After eating 53 cookies, Lightbulb projectile vomits directly on Baseball. However, before she could do so, the camera switches to Salt and Pepper, the latter getting a horrified look on her face at what just happened.
