"Journey Through Memory Lane Part 1" is the 17th episode of Inanimate Insanity, and the 17th overall episode of Inanimate Insanity.
Episode contains the following tropes:
- All the Worlds Are a Stage: The final challenge is all the challenges put together.
- Bait-and-Switch: Paper looks like he's going to turn evil when Paintbrush mentions Idiotic Island, but he just needed to sneeze.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with the elimination area about to crash onto OJ and Taco.
- Don't Ask: The recapper does this twice:
- the recapper says this when he talks about how the teams were named "Epic" and "Chicken Leg",
- when he says: "Pickle and Taco defeated the roasted Marshmallow".
- Evil Laugh: When OJ tells Taco good luck, she just laughs an evil laugh.
- Multi-Part Episode: This episode is the 1st part of the two part finale.
- Immediate Self-Contradiction: Baseball and Paper talk about how Idiotic Island isn't so bad and starts talking about how the contestants have learned so much from each other over the course of the competition. Then MePhone4 appears and asks "who wants to leave the island?" Baseball kicks Nickel out of the way and yells at MePhone4 to let him out.
- It's Probably Nothing: Nickel sees that the box Bow was trapped in had a hole. He just ignores it.
- Shout-Out: Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony appears behind a cloud.
- Take My Hand!: MePhone5 cuts the pole of the elimination area and Mephone4 starts to fall off. Mephone4S tells him to grab his hand, and his hand adds "not so hard".
