  • The Bad Guy Wins: Splendid and Splendont's battle ends with Splendid lodged in the pavement after Splendont pushed the moon at him. The doppelganger hums triumphantly before noticing all the carnage he caused by smashing the Moon into the Earth and awkwardly makes his leave, followed by Splendid weakly calling his allies so they can pry him out of the pavement with a crowbar.
  • Colony Drop: Splendid and Splendont's fight ends with Splendont pushing the Moon at Splendid, leaving most of North America crushed by the celestial body.
  • Handshake Refusal: After Splendont saves a train Splendid accidentally derailed, Splendid offers him a congratulatory handshake. Splendont turns away, kickstarting their rivalry.
  • Oh, Crap!: Splendont gets this expression when he grabs a whale to use as a weapon against Splendid, only for Splendid to respond by grabbing an even bigger whale.
  • Plug the Volcano: The episode opens with Splendid using a huge boulder to plug a volcano threatening a city. It only lasts until after he leaves, at which point the pressure launches the boulder into space, once again putting the city in danger while the boulder breaks the mirror containing Splendont.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Splendont is the (presumably) Evil Doppelgänger of Splendid, who starts the episode trapped in a mirror floating around in space. When Splendid tries to plug up an active volcano with a huge boulder, the pressure launches it into space, where it breaks the mirror and frees Splendont.
  • Shamu Fu: After Splendont gets smacked into the ocean, he emerges carrying a whale he intends to smash Splendid with. Splendid does him one better by grabbing a whale of his own, one twice as big. They swing their "weapons" at each other, with Splendont's whale breaking to pieces upon impact and Splendont himself getting launched into space.
  • Squashed Flat: This happens to the Generic Tree Friends when Splendont smashes the Moon into the Earth to defeat Splendid. This being Happy Tree Friends, it's a lot more fatal than most examples.
  • The Stinger: After Splendid calls in his allies for help and the credits play, there's a short scene of said allies trying to dislodge him from the pavement with an oversized crowbar. It breaks.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Splendid survives.
  • Track Trouble: Splendid sees a Runaway Train heading for a broken bridge over a large canyon. He tries to save it by lying down across the hole to use himself as a bridge, but in a showing of his usual incompetence, it hits his head and goes flying into the chasm, leaving Splendont to save it instead.
