Meg comes home from Russia after discovering that her new husband only married her to get a green card. Meanwhile, Chris and Principal Shepherd team up to film porno movies on school grounds.

This episode provides examples of...

  • Chekhov's Gun: Meg is shot with a poison dart and sent to the hospital after writing in the caption for her Instagram post that she misses eating cheeseburgers. Later, after overhearing Ivan bragging about marrying her just so he could get a green card, she makes a bunch of tweets on his phone criticizing Russia so he can get shot down with those same darts and killed.
  • Citizenship Marriage: It turns out that Ivan married Meg specifically so he could get American citizenship.
  • Club Stub: Peter somehow has a club in Adam West High called the "Peter Club", which consists of himself and a guy named Jason (who sees the club as a joke). Chris tries to join as part of his pursuit for extracurricular credit, but Peter claims that the club is full.
  • Cluster F-Bomb: Chris unleashes this on several students while trying out for the Toastmasters Society Club at school.
Chris: Hey, can I join your club?
Student: That depends. Can you uplift your fellow students through the eloquent art of public speaking?
Chris : I’ll give it my best shot!
(cuts to Chris in the classroom roasting all the students while on the podium)
Chris: (points to a student) Fuck you, (points to another student) fuck you, for sure, (points at Kelvin) and fuck you, most of all, Kelvin!
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Any criticism against Russia’s culture or officials results in a tranquilizer dart.
  • Edgy Backwards Chair-Sitting: Chris uses this as an intimidation method on Principal Shepherd after finding out he’s making porn. Apparently, it’s a big deal for Shepherd as he refers to that type of sitting as “The Slacker’s Position”.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Chris is against showing a cigarette in his pornography because he knows kids will be watching it.
  • Noodle Incident: According to Ivan, his parents were killed from being "peacefully" torn limb-from-limb by dogs.
  • Polluted Wasteland: Russia gets this treatment, although Meg seems to love it.
  • Sequel Episode: This episode follows up on the A-plot from "From Russia With Love" where Stewie, Brian, and Meg traveled to Russia to get Brian's Instagram account back.
  • Shout-Out: Meg's musical number "This Old Town" is a parody of the musical number "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast.
  • Take That!:
    • Ivan claims that his phone only works with Russia's own phone service or alternatively, "T-Mobile."
    • While recovering in the hospital from the poison dart, Meg expresses concern over the hospital bill, only for Ivan to tell her that healthcare is considered a basic human right in Russia and that they won't be charged much, if anything, following it up by saying that it "surely must be the same" in America.
    • Lois warns Chris that he needs to go to college, or else he'll become a "garbageman or a congresswoman from Colorado."
    • Aside from the health care example mentioned above, Russia is portrayed as a polluted, decaying hellhole where the government leaps in to crush even the tiniest form of public dissent, including food preferences.
  • Trailers Always Spoil: Meg's reason for returning to America and Ivan's true intentions were given away in the episode's description before it aired.
  • What You Are in the Dark: Chris could've let Principal Shepherd take all the blame for their pornography operations and get away with blackmailing and abetting him, but he stood up for him instead, claiming that the latter did it for the school.
  • Widowed at the Wedding: Meg herself sets Ivan up to get killed by poison darts shortly after their wedding after learning why he married her.
