One night when returning from buying pads at the store, 23-year-old college student Ji Young-hee finds herself being followed by four strange men carrying bags and talking about "Matilda." Thinking they've just murdered a foreign woman and that she's next, she panics and runs home.
The next day, after checking the news for reports of a "blonde woman murdered," she reads the news that Suho was injured and EXO concert dates have been postponed. Soon after, she is called to breakfast by her mother, who tells her that some young guys are moving into the house of the elderly gentlemen next door who had recently passed away. Her mother instructs her to pass along a business card to them. Yeon-hee is excited to meet them, but her hopes are dashed when they aren't as attractive as she hoped.
She returns home and reflects on the fact that despite being "23 and in the prime of her life," she has never had a boyfriend, a fact which she blame on her "biggest flaw": When she's around a guy she likes, her cheeks flare bright red.
As she's in the den watching EXO SurpLINEs, her high schooler younger brother Gwang-su notices the new neighbors while he's practicing martial arts on a coat rack. He comments that the guys on the TV look like the guys moving in next door, but Yeon-hee gets offended. Meanwhile, her mother comes in and instructs her to bring some rice cakes she made over to the new neighbors' house.
She lets herself in and finds no one. Deciding that they won't miss one rice cake, she sneaks one and begins choking on it, going to the fridge for a bottle of water. As she turns around, her eyes widen as she realizes none other than Chanyeol, Baekhyun, D.O., and Sehun are standing before her.
Chanyeol asks who she is. She does a SpitTake in his face.
The previous night, when the four EXO members arrive at the house and are impressed with that they find. It is revealed that the elderly man who owned the house was Chanyeol's grandfather. Not yet having mattresses for their beds, the four sleep together in the basement. The next morning they're woken by a nice scent, which turns out to be the rice cakes. Being eaten by a strange girl.
As the others laugh at Chanyeol after the spit take, Yeon-hee flees before he can come to his senses. Back at home, she calls her friend Ga-eun, who at first doesn't believe Yeon-hee, but upon realizing she's serious, immediately drops all of her other plans and heads over to Yeon-hee's.
They spy on and gush over the boys (minus Chanyeol) through Yeon-hee's bedroom window before Ga-eun is chased off by Yeon-hee's mother. Yeon-hee questions her as to why she keeps sending her to the neighbors' house, but her mother claims to not have any particular reason, before storming out. Yeon-hee resumes her spying.
Next door, Baekkhyun, Sehun, and D.O. have a short video call with Kai. When it ends, Sehun notices Yeon-hee, and Baekhyun suggests they mess with her. D.O. refuses, so Baekhyun and Sehun start pretending to make out, before D.O. closes the curtain with a smile and a wave. By that time, Chanyeol has come downstairs, and D.O. asks him why he brought them to the house. As he yanks back the curtains and glares up at Yeon-hee, he explains that he lost something precious.
