- Biting-the-Hand Humor: Cloyd and Becky says the magic fire, which they've been binge-watching, will "greenlight anything". This show was brought to you by Netflix.
- Body Horror: The transformation from human to Goon is quite unplesasant. Bean and Elfo watch in horror as they see it happen. Only Luci, being a demon, likes the sight.
- Brick Joke: Jerry once again manages to aim where Cloyd is going to be, rather than where he is, and thus hits him with a rock.
- The Bus Came Back: Cloyd and Becky return after last having been seen in Part 2, supposedly being crushed underneath Maru.
- Chekhov's Gun: The chopped-off crone hands can turn people into Goons.
- Designated Girl Fight: When Zog and Bean confront Cloyd and Becky, Zog ends up fighting Cloyd while Bean fights Becky.
- The Dog Bites Back: Jerry finally gets to chew out Cloyd and Becky for all their years of mistreating him, and leads the Dreamlanders in their revolt againt the two.

- Mistaken from Behind: When Bean sneaks into the throne room, she notices what looks like Dagmar's white hair sticking out from just above the back of the throne. However, it wasn't Dagmar but a mop Cloyd and Becky put on the throne.

- Tempting Fate: As they flee, Cloyd says they should be safe provided they stay out of the angry Dreamlanders' throwing range, cue Jerry hitting him via a thrown rock.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Cloyd and Becky are only mildly surprised to see Jerry back from the dead, and simply shrug it off with the idea that he must be too dumb to die properly.
- Villain: Exit, Stage Left: Cloyd and Becky manage to escape Dreamland, though not before Jerry manages to hit Cloyd on the head with a rock.
- Viral Transformation: Turns out the people of Dreamland are being turned into Goons by the Royal Treatment, which involves getting scratched by a chopped off hand.
- "Well Done, Son" Guy: Discussed; Luci theorizes that deep down Bean is still longing for Dagmar's love and respect, and that as long as she does Dagmar will hold power over Bean.
