Salvador Cordero, leader of The Vipers, is found dead in his own headquarters.
Tropes:
- Accidental Misnaming: Ramirez calls Marconi "Linguini" and "Tortellini" in the span of few seconds. He's not amused.
- Absurdly Spacious Sewer: One of the crime scenes is a sewer.
- Asshole Victim: Needless to say, no one is saddened by Cordero's death. Even Ash, a member of his gang, calls him an idiot and says he's glad for his death.
- Attempted Rape: Cordero tried to rape Ginger after dragging her to The Vipers' headquarters, but Marconi managed to stop him. Bloodily.
- Back for the Finale: Ash Bison, One-Tooth Sam, Ginger, Marconi, and Troy Cassidy all return for this case, which is the last one of the Industrial Area district.
- Call-Back: One of the killer's traits is that they use hand sanitizer, something that also happened in Case 5. This actually ends up being helpful for catching Marconi.Jones: In the Russian case files, we highlighted all the suspects who used hand sanitizer and the list included Tony Marconi! This means he must be the killer!
- The Climax: For the Mob War Story Arc, being the last case set on the Industrial Area district.
- Continuity Nod: The Blue Flamingo, Marconi's club from Case 8, reappears as a crime scene.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Tony Marconi may be a ruthless gangster, but you hurt a woman and he will have no problem taking you out himself.
- Everyone Is a Suspect: Jones is quite saddened that both Ginger and One-Tooth Sam are suspects.Jones: First Ginger, now Sam... <Player's name>, I can't believe our friends are now our suspects!
- Foreshadowing: In Chapter 1, Ginger asks you to not be so hard on Marconi since "he's not that bad, at least with women." When you arrest him for the murder, Marconi reveals he killed Cordero because he was abusing Ginger.
- Grievous Bottley Harm: How Marconi kills Cordero.
- Heel–Face Turn: Troy disbands The Skulls and quits gang life to become a mechanic at the end of the case.
- Hollywood Restraining Order: Marconi puts a restraining order on Jones, a police officer, for apparently being obsessed with him. Not that he's wrong.
- Last Episode, New Character: Mayor Howard Johnson is introduced, congratulating the player for putting an end to the Mob War and Marconi's schemes.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Once again, Jones refers to a previous case by its in-game name.Jones: <Player's name>, this hand sanitizer business reminds me of the Russian Case where it was a vital piece of evidence!
- Loophole Abuse: Marconi files a restraining order forbidding Jones to come near him or his club. What does Jones do? He sends the player character and Ramirez to Marconi instead, since the terms of the restraining order only explicitly speak to Jones.
- Near-Rape Experience: Subverted. According to Ginger, Cordero stopped at the last minute while trying to rape her, but she's just lying to hide the fact that Marconi is the one who saved her by killing Cordero.
- "Not So Different" Remark: Marconi tries to evoke this with Jones after his arrest, though he only receives a Shut Up, Hannibal! from him.
- Pun: After Ginger tells you she carries around a screwdriver for protection.Ginger: I guarantee you, with this tool, nobody screws me around!
- Rags to Riches: One-Tooth Sam becomes one of the richest men in Grimsborough after you return back his jewel at him.
- She Cleans Up Nicely: One-Tooth Sam goes from this◊ to this◊ after recovering his fortune.
- Shout-Out:
- The Sewer Outlet has many items from The Legend of Zelda as hidden objects, including a heart piece, an ocarina, and a shield with a Triforce design.
- In the Blue Flamingo and in the Dance Floor, red and purple lightsabers make an appearance.
- Also in the Blue Flamingo is a poster of Arpegius.
- One-Tooth Sam's long lost treasure is a necklace with a heart-shaped diamond (albeit that it is red instead of blue). Sam's speech about going from Riches to Rags is even similar to the one Old Rose gives in an extended version of the ending.
- Who Murdered the Asshole: The reason why this murder is so complicated for the team is the fact that every suspect absolutely hated Cordero.Jones: <Player's Name>, this case is such a mind-boggle! Everybody we've talked to has admitted to wanting Salvador dead.
- Wouldn't Hit a Girl: Marconi.Marconi: You don't hit women. You just don't...
- Would Hit a Girl: Cordero slapped Ginger after she spat on him. Then attempted to rape her. It's no surprise why Marconi killed him.
