When Craig, Cannonball, Sparkle Cadet, and Diane are challenged to Double Dutch by Diane's former Double Dutch team led by Brittani, Nicole helps them train for it.

Tropes:

  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parent: When Nicole gets excited seeing the kids Double Dutching in the driveway, Craig pretends not to know who she is until she turns out to be really good at it.
  • Good Cannot Comprehend Evil: Sparkle Cadet doesn't know how to do insulting trash talk. At all, by her own admission.
Cannonball: "Hey, Sparks, I'm trying to insult her."
Sparkle Cadet: "Oh, uh...I don't know how to do that!"
  • Hypocritical Humor: Nicole tells the kids they shouldn't jump rope for revenge but jump to have fun because she did the same thing when she was a kid and only focused on trying to be the best. At the end of the episode, Nicole says she's proud of Craig and his friends focusing on having fun instead of trying to be the best, but it's revealed she broke into Carla Frazier's house to steal her Double Dutch trophy.
  • Mirror Character: Brittani and the Double Dutch Kids very much resemble the Horse Girls: they're both all-female quartets (at least before Diane was expelled) of decent people led by a tyrannical leader obsessed with their respective interests, to the point that at least one member was disillusioned by it.
  • Not So Above It All: While Nicole is usually the wisest in the family and typically gives Craig and his friends good advice, she'll shown she can be petty as she broke into Carla's house to steal the Double Dutch trophy that she won in 1989.
  • The Reveal: Diane is revealed to have an older sister who helps her find comics. She is also revealed to be part of a Double Dutch team.
  • Sore Loser: When Nicole was a kid, she was bitter towards Carla for beating her during the Double Dutch Regional despite Carla telling her she admires her skills and was her inspiration.
  • Special Guest: Missy Elliott guest stars as Nicole's Double Dutch rival, Carla, and sings during the Training Montage.
  • Training Montage: Nicole trains the Ice Pop Trio and Diane how to Double Dutch while Missy Elliott sings the montage song.
  • Transformation Sequence: Before they can practice Double Dutching, Sparkle Cadet transforms from her default outfit to something more athletic.
  • Unknown Rival: Nicole saw Carla as a rival who took away her chance to win the Double Dutch Regional back in 1989, but Carla never had any ill intent towards Nicole and was her inspiration to Double Dutch like her. So when Carla tells Nicole she could have never won regionals without her and was going to invite her to have pizza with her, Nicole told her to watch her back and Carla just walks away confused on why Nicole is acting harsh towards her.
