King Xavier now rules the entire Creek, forcing all the kids to play his way and opposing everyone who dares stop him.

Tropes:

  • Adults Are Useless: Nicole doesn't really question who Xavier is nor how he got her number when he calls her to punish her son.
  • Continuity Nod: The Ice Pop Trio is shown hanging out by having a drawing/bubble competition.
  • Crocodile Tears: Even though it wasn't necessary, Xavier sheds these when calling Craig's mother in order to get him grounded.
  • Disproportionate Retribution:
    • King Xavier has Sparkle Cadet's bubble wand emptied because a bubble accidentally hit him in the eye. He also bans Horse after losing one shot against Toman.
    • On a more parental side, Craig's mother calls him home and grounds him just for supposedly pushing Xavier, not even giving Craig a chance to explain what really happened.
  • Downer Ending: In The Bad Guy Wins fashion, Xavier takes control of the Creek, and when Craig tries to oppose him, he gets him grounded.
Xavier: This is my Creek now.
  • Eye Scream: One of Sparkle Cadet's bubbles gets in King Xavier's eye. For this, he has Maya disable Sparkle's bubble wand.
  • Foreshadowing: Xavier is genuinely excited when he gets invited to play H-O-R-S-E by Toman. As revealed later on in "The Team Up", Xavier is really just a lonely child who wants friends, even if it means bribing them.
  • Frame-Up:
    • After Craig stands up to him, Xavier retaliates by calling his mother and lying that Craig pushed him in order to get him grounded.
    • Xavier reveals that he was the one who tampered with Kit's report card, getting her in trouble with her grandma and causing the Creek's candy famine.
  • Inferiority Superiority Complex: Implied. King Xavier is genuinely surprised when Toman invites him to a game of Horse. When he misses and Toman and the others laugh at him for losing, he angrily retaliates by forbidding anyone from playing Horse ever again while spitefully reminding Toman that he provides for him by taking away his basketball.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: When Craig comments that Xavier threw him and his friends into a giant maze, Xavier points out that was because they did sneak into the Other Side's tournament for the prizes.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: If Craig's updated map is to be indicated, King Xavier ends up taking over the Tea Timer's base, which is hilarious because Eliza is one of the councilors who voted for Xavier to come over to their side of the creek and she didn't take him as a serious threat.
  • Not Helping Your Case: Craig's case against Xavier doesn't look good for him and his friends. When he mentions being tossed into a maze, Xavier rebuts that he and his friends infiltrated a party thrown for Xavier's friends to steal their prizes, which is technically true. He can't claim Xavier had his map stolen, because he took a picture of it and returned it to Craig. When he mentions the snowball fight started in an attempt to invade during winter break, Craig's just dismissed as not liking fun.
  • The Quisling: Continuing from last episode, Bobby betrays Craig for the sake of his Sweet Tooth. Here, he gives the King the phone number for Craig's mom, under the pretense that it's for his safety; instead, Xavier uses it to get Craig grounded.
  • The Reveal: It turns out that Xavier was the reason Kit ended up with a bad report card, and by extension, was the cause of the Creek's candy famine in the first place.
  • Tyrant Takes the Helm: Xavier systematically takes over the Creek in his usual, affable manner, starting with replacing the signage of the Trading Tree with his own symbol and bribing or bullying kids into giving up their play areas to him. By the time it's obvious he's a controlling jerk, the kids of the Creek are already too dependent on his candy to defy him.
