With Kelsey having a bad day and refusing to talk about it, a mysterious girl arrives from space in hopes of fighting the Anti-Sparkle.
Tropes:
- Art Shift: Sparkle Cadet's backstory is shown as black-and-white manga panels. A couple of close-ups of her are also drawn in anime-style.
- Cheer Up Episode: Craig, J.P. and Sparkle Cadet try to make Kelsey feel better, which she only does after talking about her feelings.
- The Old Country: Parodied when Boris explains his Slavic accent is because he's from the "old country" — upstate Connecticut.
- Red Herring: The scary tree with a face that the Forest Rangers ran into is at first believed to be the source of the Anti-Sparkle, but once it's disposed, Kelsey doesn't feel any better. Then she realizes that the Anti-Sparkle is coming from her.
- Sailor Senshi Sendup: Sparkle Cadet's double-bun hairstyle and habit of posing by making a peace sign by head is an homage to Sailor Moon.
- Ship Tease: J.P. and Sparkle Cadet have a moment near the beginning where they are both blushing after J.P. compliments her and she playfully shoves him.
- Shout-Out:
- Craig makes a mask of Eduardo.
- The Anti-Sparkle's name is a play on the Anti-Spiral from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
- Talking the Monster to Death: The only way to stop the Anti-Sparkle inside Kelsey is for her to talk about her bad day. That weakens the Anti-Sparkle enough to be defeated.
- Transformation Sequence: Done several times by Sparkle Cadet, as part of her Magical Girl Warrior persona. Spoofed when Kelsey goes through one of her own, which is just her cleaning off her hair, removing the can from her sword and shaking the mud off her boots; a bit of mud refuses to come off from one boot, which throws off the rest of the transformation.
