Meeting
Of
Villains
Isn't
Entertaining

Wallabee is sick and tired of watching the Rainbow Monkey double feature with the rest of Sector V, so he tries to get into an R-rated movie...to find it is a secret villain meeting.

Tropes included in this episode:

  • Actually a Good Idea: Toiletnator's suggestion (capture a dumb operative to use as bait for a trap) gets this reaction from Mr. Boss.
  • Conservation of Ninjutsu: Even though Father appears at the meeting, he doesn't appear to have helped the other villains try to capture Numbuh 4 despite being the most powerful one present.
  • Disrupting the Theater: Played With the Toiletnator. He has a battle with Wallabee, which ends with him trapping his toilet paper rolls attached to his arms, rolling into the movie projector and the Toiletnator is thrown out the projector window.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: Numbuh 4 is irritated that all the villains pegged him as the KND's stupidest member.
  • Dumbass Has a Point: The Toiletnator's idea to kidnap Numbuh 4 and use him to lure the other Kids Next Door into a trap is actually approved by the villains.
  • Ear Worm: The Rainbow Monkeys song.
  • Excuse Plot:
    • The Rainbow Monkeys movie seems to consist of the monkeys just singing, dancing and having fun.
    • The poster for Violence: The Movie! proudly boasts that it's all action, no plot. Justified because it's actually a front for a villain meeting.
  • Edible Ammunition: Numbuh 4's last request of "Chewy Pellets". When Mr. Boss pours a box of them into his mouth, he spits it out ala Bullet Seed!
  • Everybody Has Standards: After Numbuh 4 rolls the Tolietnator into the movie projector, he looks a little unnerved by the Tolietnator’s pain.
  • Family-Friendly Firearms: The poster for Violence: The Movie! has its lead packing two pistols... that have corks inside of them.
  • The Film of the Book: According to Numbuh 2, the first half of the Rainbow Monkey double feature was based on a book and pretty faithful, at that.
  • Five-Second Foreshadowing: As the disguised Numbuh 4 takes a seat, a number of villains in civilian clothes can be seen in the background.
  • Fold-Spindle Mutilation: Around the climax of the episode, Toiletnator ends up being pulled into a film projector's reel. We don't see what's happening to him, but we do get to hear him getting crushed to pieces and see Numbuh 4's horrified reaction to what he's seeing.
  • The Greatest Story Never Told: Numbuh 4 never tells his teammates about how he managed to disrupt and escape from a secret villain meeting, as well as how he single-handedly, albeit inadvertently, foiled a plot to destroy them, at the end of episode.
  • Guile Hero: Say what you want about Numbuh 4, but he's known to be quite crafty when the situation calls for it. He turns his last request for a box of candy into his secret weapon, and goads Toilenator to talk — while his toilet paper is tangled in a film projector, to drop his defenses and to have him escape.
  • It's Personal: For the Toiletnator, as he feels Numbuh 4 wrecked his big moment (proposing a plan that the other villains liked) and manipulated him into thinking they were friends.
  • Last Request: Mr. Boss asks for Numbuh 4's last request. Numbuh 4 asks for a box of Chewy Pellets. Mr. Boss would heavily regret fulfilling this when Numbuh 4 uses it as a weapon.
  • Movie-Theater Episode: Yes, indeed!
  • Near-Villain Victory: The villains have Numbuh 4 captured but Mr. Boss decides to give the boy his last requests. Numbuh 4 requests some candy which Mr. Boss gives him,...and which Numbuh 4 uses to escape.
  • One-Man Army: Numbuh 4 is trapped in a movie theater with villains and escapes all of them with nothing more than candy.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Numbuh 4's admiral disguise is able to fool everyone and get him in the theater despite it not being that clever.
    • Many of the villains in the audience clearly didn't put a lot of effort into their disguises. The Great Puttinski's mask is visible, the Proper Patrol's equipment juts out of their outfits, and Father simply wears a pair of Groucho Marx glasses.
  • The Quiet One: Numbuhs 1, 2, and 5 only speak once throughout the episode.
  • Rewatch Bonus: The Usher who escorts Numbuh 4 out when he first tries to sneak into the theater for Violence: The Movie. If he looks familiar, you can recognize him as one of the Ice Cream Men, foreshadowing what's really going on in the theater.
  • Totem Pole Trench: Wallabee does this by himself using several taped-together popcorn boxes as stilts to sneak into an R-rated movie called "Violence: The Movie!". It's almost blown when he drops his ticket and can't pick it up due to the arms of the disguise being gloves attached to sticks. The disguise finally falls apart as Wallabee was walking to the bathroom.
  • Tuckerization: Since the show hadn't created enough villains to fill an entire movie theater, for this episode, various villains based on the show's crew were created; Mr. Warburton is Nogoodnik, character designer Kevin Kobasic is The Big Idea, and Mo Willems is represented by a villain who looks a lot like Sheep. These and other background filler villains would regularly reappear in episodes after this one.
  • Villain Ball: Toiletnator actually managed to get one over on Numbuh 4 in the projection booth but stopping to gloat gave Wallabee an opportunity to defeat him and escape.
  • Villain Takes an Interest: After a disguised Wallabee drops his ticket and can't pick it up, a disguised Toiletnator help him by picking it up and gives it to the usher before heading through the doors.
  • Writing Around Trademarks: The "Chewy Pellets" are actually Whoppers candy, given their brown round shape.
  • "You!" Exclamation: The Toiletnator when confronting Numbuh 4 in the projection booth.
    Toiletnator: You! YOU... JERK!
