Dorien is preparing for her book club, which is reading Crime and Punishment. Meanwhile, Travis and Garth leave the house, with Tracey worried about them.

As they prepare, Sharon brings up Darryl's secret stash, but Tracey won't use it. However, at the book club, Tracey learns that Travis has been arrested for dealing with counterfeit cigarettes. Even worse, it leads to a search through the house. Dorien claims that she engineered the police search to improve the reading sessions.

Eventually, something is found in the garden - a large supply of counterfeit goods- and he is put at risk of a young offender's court. It is then revealed that Garth was the perpetrator, trying to raise money for a burger van. Worse, the cigarettes were purchased using the cash in the attic. Also, Garth already has a criminal record, having hit a man for insulting his family and mother. This causes the fighting to get bad enough that the book club hears, and Dorien kicks them out.

Tracey is forced to choose between her two sons on who has to go to jail. Eventually, she comes to a decision - she takes the blame and gets herself put in prison.

  • Through His Stomach: One of Sharon's distractions to Barry is offering to let him have the French Bread Pizza allegedly cooking in the oven. His response is to decline as that could constitute a bribe.
  • Turn Out Like His Father: Tracey is especially horrified at the fact that Garth and Travis have been selling counterfeit goods with the help of the attic cash as it means that they're turning out like their criminal father Darryl.
  • We Need a Distraction: The police are at risk of finding the sisters' cash in the attic, so Tracey asks for a distraction from Sharon. Her response is first to declare that she's popped a French Bread pizza in the oven and then doing the Dance of the Seven Veils in front of Barry Farmer. It doesn't work - it's only through the fact that Garth had been from the money that they're able to get away with it.
