Ben tests out a new alien form...though it's not quite like it seems.
The gang meets Ra'ad, the last of Aggregor's escaped prisoners, who will do anything to avoid being recaptured.

Tropes in this episode:

  • Bad "Bad Acting": When Aggregor demands the gang to hand Ra'ad to him, they feebly pretend to not know him, Aggregor doesn't buy it for a second.
  • Continuity Nod: Kevin exorcises Ra’ad from the Ultimatrix using the same tech that he used to hack the Omnitrix in Vengeance of Vilgax, though this time, he avoids turning into a monster or damaging the watch by “pressing the blue buttons”.
  • Downer Ending: Aggregor has recaptured all his prisoners and his about to begin his plan.
  • Dynamic Entry: Both times Aggregor encounters the gang he enters through the roof, lampshaded by Kevin the second time he does this.
Kevin: Again with the roof! Haven't you ever heard of using the door!?
  • Grand Theft Me: Ra'ad to Ben.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Ra'ad allows himself to be recaptured to save Ben.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Ra’ad spends most of the episode refusing to believe Ben and his friends are anything other than Aggregor’s stooges capturing the aliens for him.
  • Internal Reveal: Ra’ad reveals to Ben, Gwen, and Kevin that Aggregor recaptured the the other 4 aliens.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Word of God says that Ben turning into Brainstorm to fight Aggregor put him at a disadvantage that allowed Aggregor to capture Ra'ad and remain a threat. Had Ben turned into an alien without electric powers, he could've won.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: As Ben himself says, Aggregor rigging the Ultimatrix to scan all the aliens means that Ben now has the power to fight back against him and save them.
  • The Promise: Ben ends the episode promising to defeat Aggregor and free the prisoners once again.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Kevin gives a scathing one to Ra'ad for being willing to abandon Ben to save his own skin, despite his unwavering devotion to rescuing him from Aggregor. It's enough to change the alien's mind and perform a Heroic Sacrifice.
  • The Reveal: Ben’s Ultimatrix seemingly randomly scanning the aliens was actually Aggregor using the device to home on their locations by hacking it remotely.
  • You Can't Thwart Stage One: Aggregor recaptures Ra'ad, his fifth and final prisoner, allowing him to put his plan into motion.
