The eighth episode of Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two and the 71st episode of the overall series. Cake and Rocky are eliminated, and the featured challenge is to knock the other teams off of Team8s' refurbished balance beam.

Tropes associated with this episode include:

  • 1-Dimensional Thinking: When Yellow Face decides to "screw over Death PACT" by throwing Fanny's mouth, he throws it in the direction of the balance beam instead of just tossing it off the edge. This allows for the mouth to hit Donut and land back on the beam.
  • An Arm and a Leg: It is revealed at the start of the episode that Yellow Face gained legs after Ice Cube lost hers by eating one of Yellow Face's gumballs. Then after Donut gets another gumball shoved into his mouth, he loses his arms and Yellow Face gains them.
  • Attack! Attack... Retreat! Retreat!: As Needle, Coiny, and Barf Bag are attacking Eraser, Coiny is knocked off by Tennis Ball and Needle immediately panics, repeatedly yelling to scatter.
  • Back from the Dead: Because Teardrop grew Tree's corpse into a full tree last episode, when he's recovered, his body is brought back to life as the full-grown tree.
  • Big "NO!":
    • Donut's reaction when Yellow Face won't give his arms back.
    • Winner and Snowball both have this reaction as they fall off the balance beam.
    • Fanny's mouth reacts this way when her body falls off the balance beam and Death P.A.C.T. Again loses.
    • Eraser's reaction when Teardrop pushes him off the balance beam.
    • Golf Ball and Puffball's reaction when Are You Okay is up for elimination.
  • The Bus Came Back: Leafy and Firey make a brief cameo as Pin flies past.
  • Copycat Mockery: Pillow mocks Cake as he says his farewell speech to his team.
  • Everyone Has Standards:
    • Snowball, who enjoys bullying the weaker contestants, decides not to push Teardrop off the beam when she gets sick from hiding inside Barf Bag.
    • Yellow Face is a very shady salesman, but he is willing to admit that his glue sucks and tells everyone to not buy it.
  • Grievous Harm with a Body: Tennis Ball uses Pen to knock Coiny off the balance beam.
  • Hoist by Their Own Petard: When Donut and Pin gang up on Fanny, the former rips her mouth off and throws it at Winner before pushing her off the beam. While this initially makes Death P.A.C.T. Again lose, the fact that her mouth is still on the beam allows the rest of the contestants to convince Two that she technically didn't completely fall off and that she's still in the game, rendering Donut's attempt at a taunt more helpful than he intended.
  • Hurricane of Puns: Two says a few glue based puns during the Cake At Stake, though they do stop after being booed for them.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Pillow, based on her studies, suggests her team hide under the balance beam to avoid being pushed off. When they do so, she does not follow through with them since, according to her, half of her studies were proven ineffective.
  • Know When to Fold Them: Despite trying to protect Teardrop earlier, Snowball tells Grassy to retreat when he is the last member in order to not risk losing the challenge.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: During Cake at Stake, Cake and Bomby boo Two's bad puns.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Book and Nickel discuss Rocky's elimination and how he was previously eliminated in BFDIA, specifically noting how it was a long time since then. Rocky was eliminated in BFDIA 7, which was the last episode before this one in release order.
  • Literally Shattered Lives: Bottle shatters after falling off the Cake at Stake place, and later when Grassy kicks her.
  • Loophole Abuse: It seems like Death PACT Again will be up for elimination when all of their members fall off, but then Marker points out that Fanny's mouth is still on the beam and is moving independently. This technically means that she is still on the beam and the challenge continues because of this.
  • Man on Fire: After Basketball and her teammates are revived, she revives Robot Flower, hoping this would get her back to normal. Unfortunately, this doesn't work, and Robot Flower sets her on fire.
  • Mood Whiplash: After Cake says his farewell speech, he's smashed by Two, who accidentally forgot to use their powers to teleport him away and awkwardly apologizes for killing the mood.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Donut losing his arms references his first appearance as a recommended character, where he didn't have arms.
    • Tree coming back to life as a full-grown tree with no limbs harkens back to his first appearance as a recommended character.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: When Cake is accidentally smashed by Two, Pillow visibly enjoys it compared to a shocked Book, Price Tag, and Nickel.
  • Our Product Sucks: Yellow Face advertises his glue like this, literally telling everyone not to buy it due to how terrible it is.
  • Pet the Dog:
  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: Price Tag has one before kicking Donut off the balance beam: "See you in the bargain bin, Donut!"
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Gaty leaves the moment she sees Basketball be set on fire by Robot Flower.
  • Sore Loser: Rocky is eliminated, and he prepares to throw a tantrum similar to Lightning and barf everywhere before Two teleports him away. He's able to vomit once, though, which lands inside the volcano and causes it to crack.
  • Super-Empowering: When Teardrop hides inside Barf Bag, the latter gains her strength, and is able to throw Pin around the Earth before reaching the other end of the beam.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Yellow Face is a lot more arrogant in this episode due to his newly acquired limbs.
  • Wipe That Smile Off Your Face: Fanny's mouth is removed by Pin before being shoved off the balance beam. Marker uses the fact that her mouth is still on the beam to argue that his team technically did not lose the challenge, which works.
