Teaser: The JLA faces agaisnt the LOD in baseball.

Main Plot: Tired of always losing, the Trinity's greatest enemies (Lex Luthor, The Joker, and Cheetah) decide to swap heroes for better results.

  • Adaptational Wimp: Most, if not all the Amazons on Paradise Island easily fall to the Joker, a mortal man in a Wig, Dress, Accent. He doesn't even need some wacky superweapon.
  • And the Adventure Continues: The episode ends with the now elderly Trinity fighting off some invaders.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Cheetah, Joker, and Luthor once they use more successful methods to defeat the trio of Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman.
  • Baseball Episode: The Cold Open, anyway, which has an all-hero baseball team vs. an all-villain baseball team. For little explained reason, besides Rule of Funny.
  • Comedic Underwear Exposure: Joker strips his disguise, revealing his undies, to fight Wonder Woman. Although, he gets his regular clothes back.
    • Lex's Powered Armor gets ruined twice, and he's left in his longjohns both times.
  • Cutting the Knot: How does Bruce escape being unmasked. He simply keeps his head down until Luther gives up.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: The Trinity (Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman) had their respective opponents beat. Then, the latter group decides to change tactics.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Superman realizes what a defeated Lex is about to do with the Kryptonite he has.
    Superman: Here it comes.
  • Dramatic Unmask: Lex unmasks Batman. This ends up subverted due to Batman anticipating this sort of thing happening.
  • Flash Forward: The episode ends with the look into the future where the Trinity watch the time capsule before resuming the fight for justice.
  • Flaw Exploitation: Batman manipulates the Legion of Doom's egos to have them fight among themselves until he, Superman and Wonder Woman get free.
  • Go-Karting with Bowser: The Cold Open features the Justice League vs The Legion of Doom in baseball.
  • Literal Metaphor: Joker hits a foul ball by gassing up the baseball field with his flower.
  • Mythology Gag: A few.
    • When Wonder Woman is fighting Cheetah in the beginning, the music is an instrumental rendition of the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman live-action show's theme. If you pay attention, you can almost hear the "WONDER WOMAANNN!" shouts.
    • The Cheetah powers herself into Superman's weight-class with the Amulet of Urzkartaga, referencing the African God that the Barbara Minerva version of the character got her werecat powers from.
    • In the ending's Flash Forward, the future president is clearly Prez Rickard. The Trinity's eldery designs are also taken from Kingdom Come.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: The Legion of Doom wouldn't have the idea to execute their enemies in front of the whole universe if Batman didn't suggest the idea to them. But then it turns out that Batman was counting on it.
  • Opponent Switch: The Legion of Doom realizes that the Trinity have figured out all their moves. Hence, they decide to switch opponents and it worked.
  • Stab the Picture: After agreeing to take on each other’s respective nemeses, Cheetah, Lex Luthor, and the Joker each destroy a newspaper photo of the hero they’ll be taking on. Cheetah slashes Superman’s picture, Joker squirts acid at Wonder Woman’s picture, and Lex shoots Batman’s picture.
  • "Strangers on a Train"-Plot Murder: Batman teams up with Superman and Wonder Woman when their arch-enemies Joker, Lex Luthor and Cheetah team up to defeat them by adopting a strategy of attacking a different hero: Wonder Woman vs Joker, Superman vs Cheetah, and Batman vs Luthor.
  • This Cannot Be!: The Legion of Doom are at loss that their fool-proof plan fails.
    Joker/Lex Luthor/Cheetah: It was fool-proof. FOOL-PROOF!
  • Time Capsule: A sub plot focuses on the trinity trying to figure out what to put in a time capsule representing heroism. They all eventually decide to put in the jukebox from their local hangout.
  • We Need a Distraction: Alfred, dons a Batman costume to distract Luthor from Bruce.
