Quotes: Female Misogynist
"Thus Satan used an unconsecrated woman [Jezebel] to sway the heart of the king, and through the king to cause all Israel to sin. It is a terrible thing to be an instrument in the hands of Satan. Satan chooses women, for he can use them more successfully than he can men."
—Ellen White, Manusript Releases, vol. 10 p. 76, Ms. 29, 1911, p. 13. (Released by the White Estate Washington, D. C. July 16, 1980)
"I don't know how we stand us."
"Always in the stink of women! How I hate women!"
I realized during one of my conversations with Janet that she was the author of a particularly fucked-up post titled "Why Donít We Have a Dumb Fucking Whore Registry? Now That Would Be Justice," a piece she penned in response to the much-publicized 2013 trial of two small-town football players in Steubenville, Ohio, who were found guilty of raping a 16-year-old girl who had passed out after drinking at a party... "Unfortunately society listens to women more than men, she told me, "and if we can take advantage of that to get some equality, well, then, good!
—Alex Brook Lynn, "The Women of the Men's Rights Movement"
Nancy Leigh DeMoss is a hardcore dominionist wingnut and author of Lies Women Believe: And the Truth That Sets them Free, which has apparently sold some copies worldwide. The purpose of the tract is to identify (40) lies that have been told to women. Among the obvious ones are the lie that women have rights... DeMoss also appears to lead the True Woman movement, whose goals are to lead women back to the kitchen where they belong, in accordance with the Bible or DeMossís deranged, psycopathic lunacy. It is a little striking that their heroes seem to be the notoriously un-kitchen-bound Michele Bachmann and Phyllis Schlafly, but then again I suppose few expected coherence from this gang. Pure evil, hatred, and Taliban misogyny packed in cupcakes, fire and brimstone.
The level of anti-female character venom among some fans is bizarrely high, especially given the general fannish love for adversarial characters such as Darth Vader — not to mention the fact that most fans are women.-
