- Basic Trope: A character holds things in their stomach.
- Straight: Alice carries items in her stomach. Even things that couldn't possibly fit in it.
- Exaggerated:
- Alice keeps absolutely everything in her stomach.
- Everyone in the setting does this.
- Lampshaded: "Hey Alice, how come you always keep things in your stomach? And how much can you fit in there? And you never get any bigger, either."
- Discussed:Charlie: "Hey Bob, you know your wife Alice keeps things in her stomach?"Bob: "Yup, that's why I love her."Charlie: "Okaaay."
- Inverted:
- Alice stores things where the sun don't shine.
- Alice's purse comes alive and swallows her, but doesn't expand. And then she comes out later, unharmed.
- Justified: Alice is actually a Human Alien whose stomach is a Pocket Dimension. Or at the very least, is Bigger on the Inside.
- Enforced: "We wanted a comical way for Alice to store things, and storing them in her stomach was the only family friendly thing we could think of."
- Zig-Zagged: Alice only keeps certain things in her stomach, other things she carries in her purse.
- Exploited:
- The other characters hide in her stomach in order to sneak past people, or in a game of Hide and Seek, since she can also harmlessly carry people in her stomach, as well as objects.
- Alice runs a transportation service, in which she carries passengers in her stomach.
- Defied: Bob suggests Alice swallow a few things and she replies "Are you crazy? I'm not swallowing this stuff, gross!"
