Oakley Neil H. T. Caesar-Su (born 4 June 1998), better known as Central Cee, is a British rapper from Shepherd's Bush, London.

Having been making music since he was a young teenager in the early 2010s, he rose to fame in 2020 with his breakthrough singles "Day in the Life" and "Loading", with the latter charting in the UK Top 20. His debut mixtape, Wild West, was released on 12 March 2021 and debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. He followed that up with the PinkPantheress-sampling single "Obsessed with You", which peaked at No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart. Its associated mixtape, 23, was released on 25 February 2022, becoming his first No. 1 album, with its three other singles ("Retail Therapy", "Cold Shoulder" and "Khabib") all chating in the UK Top 40.

Discography:

  • Wild West (2021, mixtape)
  • 23 (2022, mixtape)
  • No More Leaks (2022, EP)

His work includes the following tropes:

  • Boastful Rap: The majority of his songs.
  • The Cameo: Makes one in the music video for Drake's "Jumbotron Shit Poppin'"
  • Celebrity Song: "Doja" and "Khabib" (named for MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov).
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: His earliest music is mostly melodic Trap Music with heavy Autotune, in contrast to the Drill Music he ultimately found success with.
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language: "Eurovision" features a group of drill rappers from different countries throughout Europe, resulting in two verses in French (by Freeze Corleone and Ashe 22), two verses in Spanish (by Beny Jr and Morad) and two verses in Italian (by Rondodasosa and Baby Gang).
  • Lighter and Softer: His sound relative to the rest of UK drill, often focusing on jazzy, soulful samples rather than dissonant, horror-esque melodies.
  • Sampling:
    • "Obsessed with You" samples "Just for Me" by PinkPantheress and "Stay Home" by American Football.
    • "Doja" samples "Let Me Blow Your Mind" by Eve and Gwen Stefani.
    • "Chapters" samples "You Are My High" by The Gap Band.
    • "Let Go" samples "Let Her Go" by Passenger.
