"You've seen what I can do and I just do it in a joke, my kid's a psychopath... Let me explain this to you: I understand that I've done some bad things in the past but I had a motive, Elias doesn't—he just does it for the bloodlust. You see, Tobias dying and Elias killing him? He didn't even use that as any gain against you, he just did it because it was fun."
Asmodeus, describing his own son Elias Exodus, MedBoy789

The Arkn Mythos is set in a Forever War with a vast cast of morally ambiguous characters. A few still manage to stand out as irredeemably evil.

All spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned!

The Arknverse (Arknverse A)
  • Gilga'mesh Xeth'i'stral used his fame and status as a war hero to become the first king of the Arkn. A bigoted wife-beater behind closed doors, Gilgamesh promotes the belief that all Dekn are "mistakes" of the Hethe and therefore inherently inferior to his race. Ruling over the Golden Cities with an iron fist, Gilgamesh began conducting false flag attacks and blaming them on the Dekn to keep the war going with him in power—in one notable instance, Gilgamesh razed Carrowind to the ground for supposedly harboring a single Dekn refugee, leaving no survivors. Seeking to punish Raziel for falling in love with a commoner, Gilgamesh had his children executed in front of him and then—fearing a revolution that could depose him—launched brutal purges in Paradisium to exterminate his community of magick practitioners. Having hypocritically allied himself with the Dekn Emperor—the legendary Carver—Gilgamesh sacrificed millions of humans and his own personal guard in a staged battle that ended with Gilgamesh faking his own death to help with the creation of the Infernous.
  • Adam Spirit returns as the infamous Hooks Killer and, while seemingly confined to a single timeline, is virtually identical to his counterpart in terms of his sadism, twisted nature, and love of atrocities—such that the Carver himself refers to him as a "monster". Willingly sharing his body with a Dekn in exchange for escaping his own native timeline, Hooks continued to murder more people in this new world—in his spare time, Hooks is a bloodthristy Psycho for Hire for the Carver and, not content with simply freeing him into .Reality, he decides, just because he can, to go public about the Arkn and Dekn—setting off the May 15th Catastrophe, which causes a system-wide crash that obliterates multiple timelines and countless lives. The last time he's seen onscreen, he guts Michael Knight, sending him to the Infernous to be tormented by the Carver, who then claims him as a vessel. Hooks may be a mere human, but he proves himself to be far more deplorable than most supernatural entities in the setting.
  • Barnabelt Kinnard is the most deranged member of the Fearful Four and the Hooks Killer of The Wild West, where he was known simply as The Hook. A feared Serial Killer with no past even before joining the Fearful Four, Kinnard appeared one day at Comshine County Jail and turned himself in for over 100 murders. Mostly serving as The Brute of the gang, Kinnard abused a glitch in .Reality to sneak into towns and forts to eliminate anyone that could pose a threat to them. Taking advantage of a time loop to reshape themselves into The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse—with Kinnard representing War—Kinnard assisted them in reducing the world into an apocalyptic dystopia where humanity bowed down to them as gods. A vicious bandit who left corpses wherever he went, Kinnard cemented himself as a boogeyman to the people of his era, the sheer mentioning of his nickname enough to set an unruly child straight.
  • Elius'Exe'Deus—simplified as Elias Exodus—is a sociopathic half-Arkn boy and grandson of the Carver. As a Nephilim, he survived genocide by hiding in the Hybrid Grounds—once left to his own devices, Elias wasted little time in slaughtering all the other children and absorbing their souls. In 2015, Elias returns as an amnesiac suffering from voices inside his head. Once his memories "return" when Vine saves him from committing suicide, Elias reveals that he's been faking his amnesia—the "voices" he hears are his victims screaming, much to his delight—and thanks Vine for saving him by leaving him to rot in the Hybrid Grounds for eternity. After departing, Elias begins butchering humans for fun and amasses an army of clones to attack Elysia during the May 15th Catastrophe, intent on consuming both Arkn and Dekn to become the god of .Reality while bragging about having driven his own race to extinction.
  • Reyn is a particularly sadistic lesser Dekn who works for the Carver's empire as his personal assassin. Often visiting Earth to instigate war and terror by turning mortal men against each other, Reyn has a nasty habit of gaining the trust of her victims by taking the shape of a woman that they lust for before executing her prey. When given the mission to wipe out an entire French family, Reyn seduces the patriarch and brutally murders him for failing to satisfy her in bed. When her brother decides to save a human baby, Reyn tries to kill the child herself and, furious at him for betraying her, personally leads a task force to hunt him down, with the implication that Reyn ultimately managed to find her brother and killed him for revenge.

The Arkn Mythos Extended Universe (Universe F)

  • Adam Spirit is the millennial incarnation of the Hooks Killer, a depraved Serial Killer with a preference for torture and cannibalism. Having hundreds, if not thousands of victims to his name, Hooks jumps between various timelines and eras, reinventing himself under a different identity in every reality to ensure that he will never get caught. His Historical Rap Sheet includes inflicting torments on an entire kingdom as the English monarch Comshine Orok; terrorizing The Wild West as the legendary outlaw Barnabelt Kinnard; and helping Alexander Tamil with the Slender Man killings—when he was still Adam Spirit, he slaughtered his father's cult and eviscerated his own pregnant sister. In one of his final appearances, Hooks confesses onscreen to having committed 643 murders around New Comshine alone.
  • Christian Spirit is Adam's abusive father and the fanatical head of the Cult of Coolificus Coolage, a Dekn-worshiping sect that operates in the outskirts of New Comshine. Once a regular local preacher, Christian developed a dangerous obsession with the Dekn after becoming enamored with the teachings of one in human disguise. Gathering his followers and performing human sacrifices in honor of the Dekn, Christian was the real mastermind behind the Three Blind Mice killings, in which he kidnapped a trio of mental patients, blinded them, and then ordered the cult to hunt the most dangerous game, deciding to sacrifice his own son when he disobeyed him. In another branch of the timeline, Christian decapitated Adam's mother and began feeding him with the corpses of children, lacing them with fish hooks to torture him further.

Arkn: Legacy (Universe X)

  • De'ebolus, the first Hethe and progenitor of the Dekn, is the Greater-Scope Villain. A cruel god that emerged from a dimensional rift in Universe A, De'ebolus entertained himself by playing with the lives of his own creations, starting the war between the Arkn and Dekn solely to satiate his boredom and worsening the situation whenever possible. Arriving in the new universe at the cost of losing his position to another Hethe, De'ebolus quickly returns to his old habits by causing an apocalyptic event that exposed the population of an entire Seed to otherworldly energy and forcibly mutated the survivors, recreating the Dekn in his own way and teaching them all manners of violence to make them wage war against the Arkn yet again.
