- "Dark humor is the way some people cope with tragedy." ExplanationSurprising words of wisdom, from Gelatin after he jokes about Donut sacrificing himself.
- The face he makes while saying this has also became a meme, often captioned with nonsensical sentences like "sing a song epic guy".
- "Who do we impersonate? It can't be Loser; last time I impersonated him I got arrested and put on probation." ExplanationGelatin brings up a past incident involving impersonation in "Take the Tower". This scene caught attention since it made it canon that Gelatin is one of the only contestants to have a criminal record.
- Coiny’s deep-fried breaths. ExplanationSomething that Coiny practices in IDFB 1 with fried oil, much to Leafy and Fries' horror. This became one of the most known scenes from the episode, mainly because at how terrified everyone else is of it.
- Four's screech. ExplanationFour tends to produce a loud, earsplitting screech for various reasons - usually to abuse the contestants. Said screech, coined as "Screechy" by X, has become an infamous trait associated with the character, and led to spam of screeching just for the hell of it along with other memes revolving around the screech.
- Firey Underwear. ExplanationA bizarre meme about Firey in underwear, created by Cloudy Eggs (infamous for Shape World).
- Woody's dab
. ExplanationAt the end of "Lick Your Way to Freedom", Nickel tells Woody to dab, and he complies with the request. Given how memetic dabbing is, it's not surprising that Woody dabbing became a meme as well, and it's common to see an image or GIF of this moment in various parts of the fandom. - "Basketball died. Her last words were "I WANNA KILL MYSELF".Explanation A phrase commonly used on the wiki, possibly to make fun of Basketball's lack of screentime.
- "YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!" Explanation A line that originates from the commercial for Non-Slip Shoes So Ha in "Insectophobe's Nightmare 2", used as a retort by Yellow Face when Purple Face mentions that nobody wears the shoes anymore. Used when Yellow Face finds out someone criticizes his product, or when somebody is purple; in the latter case it's usually followed by Yellow Face's following line, "You're purple".
- "Gelatin is dead." Explanation A phrase said by Bubble.
- The stock gasp/cheer sound. ExplanationThe series has its own series of stock sound effects produced by Jacknjellify themselves. The most popular of these sounds are the cheering, screaming, and gasping sounds, which made a resurgence thanks to being used in many of the "BFDI Humor" videos mentioned below.
- Four and X's crush. Explanation Based on this picture◊. It is further established in BFB 13 by Four angrily saying that X must be his only treasure.
- Loser's chicken nugget affection. Explanation (spoilers) A brief remark from Loser about wanting chicken nuggets while in the Liar Ball immediately became one of the most known things associated with Loser.
- Cockroaches. Explanation BFB 14 got delayed because of a cockroach infestation two days before its supposed release date.
- The Firey plush. Explanation Shortly after its release, multiple fans started making skits and photos with the Firey plush.
- "Gaty is safe as well!" Explanation The prizes for BFB 15's Cake at Stake were happy thoughts, and Gaty's happened to be one that repeated Four declaring her safe over and over again.
- I. AM NEXT LEVEL. MAD. Explanation (spoilers) When the eliminated contestants try to escape the EXIT through Spongy, Four becomes incredibly angry.

- "He's going to BRB!" ExplanationWhen Ruby asks where Balloony is being sent to, Four responds with this and she assumes Baloony will come right back. Fans correctly deduced that was another acronym for the place where the eliminated contestants are sent, like the TLC and LOL.
- "This trendy hoodie says 'Oh, for petal's sake!'" ExplanationA line said by Flower at the start of the episode, that has been the subject of debate due to being an advertisement.
- "10,000 is also 10^4!" Explanation A line said by Tennis Ball in Return of the Rocket Ship.
- "Get in Teardrop, we're going shopping." Explanation A reference to Mean Girls and a line said by Ruby when she and the rest of the Have Cots went to get Teardrop after accidentally leaving her behind during a challenge.
- Loser's Dance ExplanationA short video where Loser does a little dance. As with many videos involving dancing, edits were bound to come, including playing different music, adding the dancing Loser to other scenes, or just using it as a GIF.
- Sotp Sign. Explanation A recommended character from BFB 4. His recommender, alexlion0511, also created (and offered to voice) Marker, as well as Firey Jr (whom he regrets).

ExplanationIn-episode, they do this because they couldn't hear Two saying the contest's extra rule from the top of the Bathrooms, causing them to do poorly. It has seen use as a reaction GIF for things such as bad takes.

- Pen in a tutu ExplanationIn 2018, a poster from a Philippines summer camp's summer class from 2017 to 2018 was surfaced on the internet. The poster used images of Pencil, Eraser, Pen, and recommended character Crayon, as well as Paper from Inanimate Insanity, modified to do activities listed on the poster. One activity included ballet, with an image of Pen participating in the sport complete with a tutu and ballet shoes. Due to the absurdity of Pen participating in ballet, it became somewhat popular to draw Pen practicing ballet in the tutu.

In it, 4 harvests milk from himself and feeds it to X, who somehow gets pregnant from the milk. Then 4 drinks it and also becomes pregnant, which leads to him saying that 4 the two of them are going to have a family together.
- Fubble posts on Reddit Explanation Starting around late 2022 to early 2023, posts on the BFDI Reddit page started to feature more and more art featuring Fanny and Bubble as a couple.

- Four singing Big Chungus. Explanation Around the release of BFB 22, YouTube user Brown thingy idk uploaded this video of the Big Chungus theme song, sung by Four, set to his elimination song from the aforementioned episode.
- sex Explanation A poorly-drawn comic where Golf Ball falls on Tennis Ball in front of Pencil and Match, then a disgusted Match says what are they doing, and Tennis Ball says "sex". Cue Match and Pencil's Oh, Crap! expressions.
- Oh no. What am I doing? I hope he's not gonna mad at me. Explanation A line originating from DARWIZ ENTERTAINMENT's Object Shorts - Treemote where Remote thinks this after talking with Tree.
- Two Is Evil Explanation Originated from the video 2 IS EVIL! (BFB Theory) (which was released two days after BFB 16), which thumbnail has an edited screenshot of The Escape from Four, with Two's eyes being red and "2 IS EVIL!" in red above Four and a red arrow pointing to Two.
- Tennis Ball is a simp/Don't hit Golf Ball like that!Explanation After Pen retaliates against Golf Ball (who had started it by being rude), Tennis Ball hits him back, exclaiming the above quote. It led to many viewers to consider him a simp for Golf Ball.
- "A dead body!" Explanation A quote from Blocky, from the episode "Vomitaco". Its sheer absurdity, both in context and out of context, has made it gain a bunch of rounds as a reanimating fad.
- Similarly to the above, Fourteen running off saying "Yay! Now I can eat people's skin!" has been making the rounds. Most believe he went to eat Two's skin.
- "Aw, seriously?" ExplanationDavid's catchphrase; since it's almost always the only thing he says, fans love to repeat it on numerous occasions, especially in situations related to the character, such as fans of David replying to criticisms of him with the phrase.
- Snowball's Big "NO!" ExplanationIn "Power of Three", when Golf Ball is selected for Snowball's team, the latter lets out a "NOOOOO!" that goes on for a while. It's been used for various things, from Sparta Remixes and YTPMVs to "My reaction to [x]" videos, where [x] is usually something the uploader dislikes, such as a show being cancelled.

- Get Digging Explanation BFDIA 10 had Fries (who was a solo team) force Bomby and Needle into digging for presumed ice cream ingredients underground, and the post-credit scene had him tell the viewers to start digging for BFDIA 11. The absurdity of this concept formed a Play-Along Meme among the fans where everyone must start digging for various reasons, the most popular reason being the aforementioned BFDIA 11.
- "Hey guys! For a prank..." ExplanationBlocky usually starts his pranks with this line. It's subject to snowclones where he does something dangerous or darkly humorous, and memes involving reactions to hearing the phrase out of the blue.
