The Strongest Skill has awakened. note

I'm the Only One with Unfavorable Skills, Isekai Summoning Rebellion (I'm the Only One with a Failure of a Skill in Another World's Summoning Rebellion: Until the Weakest Skill "Absorption" Swallows Everything, Ore dake Fuguu Skill no Isekai Shoukan Hangyakuki: Saijaku Skill "Kyuushuu" ga Subete wo Nomikomu made, 俺だけ不遇スキルの異世界召喚叛逆記~最弱スキル【吸収】が全てを飲み込むまで~) is a 2022 Manga series written by SkyFarrm and illustrated by Takahata Ryusei.

Yuto Nakatani was an ordinary student who was supposed to have a regular life. However, one day his whole class was summoned by the Holy Valencia Empire to another world. To exterminate the remnant of the Demon King's Empire. All the students gained powerful skills and were worshipped as heroes, from magic, martial arts, recovery techniques, and skills that boosted one's physical abilities.

All except for Yuto, who got the unfavorable skill [Absorption]. Which initially manifests as the ability to draw things a little closer.

He is treated as mere cannon fodder alongside the rest of the class by the Heroes with better skills and the Empire itself. The group decides to enter a dungeon to strengthen their skills. While fighting a group of monsters, one makes its way pass the defenders to attack the group's "Healer" Minase. Yuto defends her but is inflicted with a powerful curse in the process.

His classmates decide to abandon but not before ridiculing him for being weak. Afterward, the class bully, Onizuka decides to kill him to gain experience points. Only for an unknown voice telling Yuto to use his skill's real function. He copies Onizuka's "Ogre God" Skill and incapacitates him. Unwilling to stay with those who chose to abandon him, he leaves the party.

Yuto encounters a mysterious door during his exploration and hears the same voice telling him to open it, where he meets Melia, the daughter of the Demon King.

Compares to series like Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest, Garbage Brave, Failure Frame, Nito's Lazy Foreign World Syndrome, and Suterareta Yuusha No Eiyuutan where a group of students are isekai'd to another world and the main character is ostracized for his weak skills before being betrayed.

I'm the Only One with Unfavorable Skills, Isekai Summoning Rebellion includes examples of:

  • All of the Other Reindeer: All of Yuto's classmates will not hesitate to tell him how weak and useless they think he is. Especially if it's Miyamoto saying it.
  • And I Must Scream: Melia was imprisoned on her father's throne for over 400 years following her kingdom's destruction by the Empire until Yuto frees her.
  • Aristocrats Are Evil: All the Noble of the Empire come off as this. None of the Summoned Heroes question their intentions. To list the ways, they summoned the Heroes in the first place to exterminate the Demons even though they already destroyed their kingdom and killed the Demon King, they're all too willing to abandon Yuto the moment he's injured but quickly change their mind when they see how strong he is, they place a bounty on Yuto's head the moment he leaves the group and before they discover he has sided with the Demons, they refuse to elaborate and lie to the "Heroes" on why they seek to wipe out the Demon species, and finally they needlessly taunt and mock the "Heroes" when they lose against Yuto.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: The Empire wanted to summon strong "heroes" with powerful skills. They got what they wanted, except they can barely control them and had their own agendas. Then Yuto decides to free Melia and join her in destroying the Empire.
  • Black-and-White Insanity: Yuto's classmates will make any excuse to justify their actions regardless of crazy it sounds. Miyamoto is fond of doing this, alternating between calling Yuto trash for being weak, a disease for not dying, and when he loses to him.
  • Came Back Strong: Yuto, after escaping the dungeon with Melia has a Level of 461 and gaining multiple skills on pair with the rest of the Summoned Heroes.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: When they reencounter one another at Arganum, Yuto now sends the rest of Summoned Heroes running with their tails between their legs by himself.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Yuto and Melia both use Shadow Manipulation and are the protagonists.
  • Defiant to the End: Ryin, when Miyamoto is about to kill her and the last of the Demon Children.
  • Didn't Think This Through: The Empire didn't see a problem sending a group of children they could barely control into a dungeon where the last of the Demon Royal Family was sealed. Let alone abandoning Yuto behind despite knowing his skill's potential.
  • Gone Horribly Right: The Empire wanted to summon strong "heroes" with powerful skills. No one expected what would happen if one of them turned against them.
  • Good Is Not Nice: It doesn't matter if you're Minase and in the middle of healing a classmate. If it helps Melia's plan, Yuto will take your skill.
  • Heroic BSoD: Yuto's classmates undergo this when they return to the Empire after he defeats Miyamoto and Onizuka, then steals multiple skills from them while they are fleeing.
  • Humans Are the Real Monsters: Humanity betrayed and destroyed the Demon Kingdom, killed the King, imprisoned Melia, then proceeded to kill and enslave the people. Afterward, they declare Demons to be cannibalistic barbarians that prey on humans to justify wiping out the survivors .
  • Left for Dead: The only person who objected to Yuto being left behind can be counted on one hand. Minase whom he was injured defending, and Onizuka, who didn't want to let the experience points go to waste.
  • Light Is Not Good: Miyamoto, the "Hero" who wears white and gold armor and associates himself with justice. Is more than willing to abandon an injured classmate for being weak and attack defenseless demon children.
  • Polite Villains, Rude Heroes: Parodied, the Summoned Heroes are a bunch of murder-happy jerks. Whereas Yuto, who the Empire declared a rogue, is among the nicest human in the setting.
  • Power Copying: The Absorption skill in a nutshell. It allows the user to copy the power of anyone they're in contact with while temporarily incapacitating them and halting them from using their skill.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Melia and Ryin were both around 400 years ago before the destruction of the Demon Kingdom of Lunaria .
  • RPG Mechanics 'Verse: People can call up a screen to check their name, level, stats, and skill. Akane and Melia can view others without their permission or knowledge.
  • Stock Light-Novel Hero: Yuto ticks several of the boxes for an Isekai protagonist: He was summoned to another world with his classmates, gets a skill initially deemed weak, is bullied and left for dead by said classmates, becomes more ruthless afterward, said skill turns out to be overpowered and he's able to use it to become the strongest, is on good terms with the party's "Healer," the Class Bully tries to kill him, the most popular kid in class has the "Hero" class and dislikes him, and to top it off he finds a Mysterious Waif that's really 400 years old in the first dungeon they enter.
  • Trapped in Another World: The position Yuto's Classmates are in until the Empire decides to send them back.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: Melia seeks to destroy the Holy Valencia Empire for destroying the Demonic Kingdom of Lunaria. Judging by what Yuto sees when he views her memories, Demons were a peaceful race dedicated to helping others. They were on friendly terms with humanity before being betrayed and exterminated.
  • Would Hurt a Child: The Summoned Heroes have zero qualms about killing defenseless demon refugees, most of which are children.
  • You Are a Credit to Your Race: Melia tells Ryin to refer to Yuto as a Demon rather than a Hero since the rest of the Summoned Heroes are humans and more monstrous than any beast.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: The Empire wastes no time in abandoning Yuto after he is injured and placing a bounty on his head when he leaves the party after said abandoning.
