Dorachyuu/Dorachuu (どらちゅう) is a oneshot manga written and illustrated by Shinichi Sakamoto; released in 2020. Set in Transylvania, it's about the budding friendship between Bloody, a vampire boy and Quincy, an orphan.

Examples:

  • And the Adventure Continues: The last words on the final page are basically this trope.
  • Anatomy Anomaly: Bloody and Dracula's(?) lack of visible eyebrows
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Bloody immediately takes a liking to Quincy because the boy protected bat!Bloody from getting killed by a farmer
  • By the Lights of Their Eyes: The boys' eyes become like this when Dracula suddenly interrupts their fun.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Duh.
  • Dizzy Cam: In addition to P.O.V. Cam through Quincey's eyes, this trope is used to briefly show Bloody preparing to make some spins.
  • Dracula: Bloody's father, who is constantly physically abusing Bloody for not living up to the vampire image.
  • Eye Scream: What is revealed under Quincy's eye patch is an empty eye socket. It remains to be revealed how and why Quincy's eye is like that.
  • Friend to All Living Things: Quincey stops a farmer from killing a small fruit bat, who later reveals himself to be Bloody, a vampire.
  • Friendly Neighborhood Vampire: Despite being the son of Dracula himself, Bloody is very sweet.
  • Frozen Fashion Sense: Averted for the majority of Bloody and Quincy's wardrobe. The only thing that sticks out is Quincy's eye patch
  • Harmless Electrocution: Despite being electrocuted by lightening twice, the only signs of damage to Bloody and Quincey are Bloody's wings, and some ash on their faces.
  • Haunted Castle: The one that Bloody and Quincey live in fits this trope to a T, down to even having Cobwebs of Disuse.
  • Hollywood Costuming: Despite the majority of the story set in the 17th century, none of the outfits look remotely accurate. For example, Quincey's parents are dressed in clothes more befitting of the Edwardian era.
  • Intertwined Fingers: Bloody and Quincey are first shown in this pose in one of the first pages of the story, while they're sleeping in a coffin together.
  • Lighter and Softer: Compared to Shinichi's previous series, Dorachuu looks like kids fare.
  • The Joy of First Flight: For Quincey, after the initial shock wears off.
  • Names to Run From Really Fast: Averted. Despite his name, Bloody is the least threatening vampire ever.
  • Pajama-Clad Hero: Quincey in the middle of the story, since Bloody takes him to the skies.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Bloody and Quincy still look like 10 year olds after 400 years have passed.
  • Sky Face: One of Dracula's powers.
  • Sleep Cute
  • Tragic Keepsake: The only thing of value that Quincey owns is a locket that contains a portrait of his parents.
  • Transylvania
  • Spectacular Spinning: Bloody spins through the air, while holding on to Quincey during their flight.
  • To Be Continued: The ending label has these exact words.
  • Vampires Sleep in Coffins: Even after 400 years, Bloody and Quincey still sleep together in it.
  • Vampire Vannabe: Quincy immediately jumps at the chance to become of a vampire, since he's already seen his fair share of the despair of the world.
  • Vegetarian Vampire: Bloody, and later Quincy, eat fruit to survive, and only drink blood from the other if necessary.
  • Voluntary Vampire Victim: Quincy quickly offers his own blood for Bloody to regain his strength, not just to get away from Dracula, but so that Quincy can become a vampire.
  • You Are Not Alone: On the second page, either Bloody, Quincey or both say that that they're one in body and soul, and that they'll be together forever.
