Sierra High is considered one of the worst high schools in the country. With drugs, teenage layabouts, and teachers who don't give a damn. Follow a group of teens through the supposed "best years of their lives." at one of the baddest schools in the country.   • Abusive Parents: The entire students have one.
  • Adults Are Useless: The adults in the applyfic had done nothing to protect their children from their terrible situations, especially the parents.
    • Averted with Ms. Thatcher and the teachers of Sierra High, they plan to discipline all of the students who behaved very badly and make them to become better students.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Many of the female characters who are attracted to bad guys. For Example.....
    • Estella's Parents, Nina Robinson falls for a cynical and rule breaking David Burgess.
    • Elizabeth's mom, Lydia dated Tyler Amarillo, although he was a rich bad boy. Lydia had adores Tyler's idea for being thief.
    • As for Francis's parents, Uptown Girl Emma was in the relationship with lousy and tough Logan Belsario. Also, it had turned into a Awful Wedded Life.
    • Gender-Inverted with Karolina's parents. Rebellious Justina De-Vris falls for a good guy Freddy Lopez.
    • Robyn is really into Nolan and Nick, more than caring and sensitive Francis.
    • Layla seems to be into Nick, she seems to be crushing on him.
  • All Guys Want Cheerleaders: Dylan is dating Elizabeth, who is a cheerleader. Francis started crushing on Rose as well.
  • Alpha Bitch: Elizabeth Amarillo, the most popular girl in Sierra High School. Rose may has shades of it despite being her left hand man.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Ms. Thatcher due to having the latina tanned skin, and Subverted with Elizabeth, however her last name is Amarillo, she reveals her racial/ethnic identity.
  • Beta Bitch: Rachel, Rose and Richard are this to Alpha Bitch Elizabeth in their popular clique.
  • Betty and Veronica: Elizabeth is Betty (Alpha Bitch) for Layla's Veronica (Girl Next Door) of Ariel's Archie.
  • The Beautiful Elite: Elizabeth and her clique are the richest kids in Sierra High and was highly proud and beautiful.
  • Break the Cutie: Being in that school would scarred you for life, and that could be the entire storyline for most of the characters.
  • Cool People Rebel Against Authority: Nick Giovanni, the resident's bad boy has no qualms about breaking the rules of the school, ditto for Nolan and Ariel.
  • Dumb Blonde: The Chemistry teacher, Ms. Davis and Dylan for most of the time.
  • Everytown, America: St. Louis, is actually a small town of Missouri.
  • Evil Principal: Emma Thatcher, the stern and cold principal of the school who plays no games around certain students and is really controlling.
  • First Day of School Episode. In Chapter one, this is where they start at the first day of high school when Ms Thatcher is in the assembly with her speech.
  • Foul Cafeteria Food: Raelyn mentioned in the first chapter that they serve fake gross pasta from her first morning announcement on the first day of school.
  • Freudian Excuse: The student's troubled behavior came from abusive and neglectful parents, poverty, family issues and childhood trauma.
  • Gossipy Hens: Popular girls like Rachel and Elizabeth loved to talk crap about people in this school.
  • Hero with Bad Publicity: Francis is a Nice Guy and is a protagonist along with Dylan, but he seems to be outcast at school and implied to get laughed at by some certain kids.
  • High-School Dance: In Chapter two, It's basically a "Back to School" Dance.
  • Jerkass: Nick, Richard, Nolan and of course, Ms. Thatcher.
  • Lower-Class Lout: Some of the students who were in the middle or lower class students who are not very kind people, like Estella.
  • Popular Is Dumb: Elizabeth and Warren are both pretty popular students, but they're not the brightest as well.
  • Save Our Students: Invoked by Ms. Thatcher to make the students well-behaved and to do well in school.
  • School of No Studying: Most of the students had done nothing but just literally drink, party and doing whatever they want.
  • Sucky School: Despite the campus has extracurriculars like sports, cheerleading, school clubs, dorm rooms, of how big the school is and all of that. Sierra High School is still one of the worst schools in the country, Ms. Thatcher had lampshaded this with the average score of 70.6 and the lowest in the state, on top of that, there's low homework grades and low test scores. Also, the kids constantly gets in trouble at school and the list goes on.
  • Teens Are Monsters: Teens in Sierra High are just rude, nasty, foulmouthed and some of them are a bunch of troublemakers, certainly like Nick and Nolan.
  • There Are No Therapists: None of the kids received any help from their staff members, subverted for Francis in the past.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Oof, Poor Dylan..
  • Troubled Teen: Literally all of them.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Elizabeth, the resident's mean girl and the main antagonist, but she is well liked by the student body by being popular and won the title of class president.
  • Wrong Side of the Tracks: Unlike Elizabeth and her peers, some of the characters had lived in poor families and houses, so Robyn has to work on her finance for sex.
