Ginban Kaleidoscope provides examples of:

  • Cute Little Fangs: Tazusa. Though when she gets seriously mad, they turn into SHARK teeth.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Tazusa treats Pete like a burden at first, but slowly warms up to him the more he helps her hone her skating skills, and the more she falls in love with him.
  • Did Not Get the Girl: Subverted. Well, not physically...but Pete definitely wins Tazusa's heart
  • Expy: Tazusa is practically real-life skater Miki Ando — with a ghost Canadian guy.
  • Gratuitous English: Once Dominique figures out Tazusa can't speak English, (which seems to parody Engrish, though it's strangely well-pronounced Engrish) she speaks it deliberately to insult her. Other than a rather awkward "Hey you Japanese", her English is surprisingly accurate. (It helps that Maya Okamoto can speak English) Not only that, but Tazusa's response (courtesy of Pete's influence) is wholly appropriate.
  • Informed Ability: The viewer doesn't get to see much of Ria's 'perfect' routine.
  • Running Gag: Every time Pete annoys Tazusa in some way, she starts munching on tomatoes because they happen to be Pete's most hated food, and knows that he can "taste" them alongside her while they share the same body.
  • Sharing a Body: As part of the premise, Pete ends up inhabiting Tazusa's body. He's able to experience her senses, for example tasting what she's eating.
