General
- Tanjiro and Kagome’s bond of friendship over the course of the story is shown to be truly strong and unbreakable. Especially notable when the prologue shows that an elderly Tanjiro met a newborn Kagome before passing away three days later, knowing that Kagome will meet his younger self in the past. A teenage Kagome has no idea that her best friend in the past will grow up to become a close friend of her family and meet her as a baby, but she still feels a strong kinship with him.
- The bond between Muichiro and Rin. The girl loves to travel with the Mist Hashira just as much as she does with Sesshōmaru. Muichiro, for his part, shows subtle signs of genuinely appreciating her company.
Kagome in Taishō
Prologue-Old Man Tanjiro and Baby Kagome
- In his old age, Tanjiro is shown to be a close friend of Kagome's family and even gets to greet Kagome after she's born. Although he knows he won't get to see her grow up, Tanjiro does pass away knowing that Kagome will get to meet his younger self in the past.
- When Kagome finds herself in Taishō 1 (1914 in western calenders), she is anguished to have been separated from her family and is now A Fish Out Of Temporal Water. Who comes to help her in her time of need? None other than the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku.
- Kyojuro proves himself to be a reasonable and kind man while listening to Kagome's story. He immediately accepts her explanation of coming from the future due to his own experience with demons, offers her a place to stay and to become a Demon Slayer and his Tsuguko, and ends up protecting her from the demon that dragged her to the past.
Training At House Rengoku
Ch.3-Training Begins! Kagome Takes Up Flame Breathing!
- Kagome and Senjuro quickly get along upon first meeting each other.
Ch.4- The Boy
- Kyojuro and Senjuro make Kagome feel welcome in their home. Whenever she's not training, they tend to include her in their meals, listen to her talk about her family, and go shopping together whenever she's not training.
- Kagome and Mitsuri get along very well and have a girl's night out. And when Kagome learns that Mitsuri joined the Demon Slayer Corps to find a husband, she is stunned but encouraging of her goal.
Final Selection
Ch.7-Final Selection! The Examinees Arrive! Enter Tanjiro Kamado
- Kagome and Inuyasha getting acquainted with the other Demon Slayers participating in the Final Selection.
- Although Genya starts out as his rude self, he proves that he's a Jerk with a Heart of Gold when he listens intently to Sango's story and shows her sympathy. He also volunteers to take first watch.
- Kagome instantly befriends Sango, and the other demon slayers present (Inuyasha, Genya, and Miroku) all show sympathy for her when she explains how her family was slaughtered by demons and her little brother Kohaku was taken from her.
- When Tanjiro arrives, he strikes up a quick friendship with Kagome (who doesn't know that he'll grow up to be a close friend of her family). When Tanjiro sincerely comforts Inuyasha about being nervous, the latter can't bring himself to lash out at him.
First Mission
- During their first mission as a team to the small town of Sawara, the original character of Mari Shirayuki, Kyojuro’s wife, is introduced, and the two are shown to be a loving couple. And before they’re called away on another mission, Mari informs her husband that she’s pregnant.

Ch.22-Nezuko
- Kagome's reaction to seeing Nezuko for the first time is to go Cuteness Proximity and fawns over her despite Nezuko being a demon. Later on, she is seen brushing Nezuko's hair.
Mount Natagumo
Ch.31-Against Corps Rules
- Nezuko goes out of her way to treat Kagome's wound after the battle against Rui is over. Even better, Shinobu and Kyojuro actually get to see this and are utterly stunned by Nezuko's kindness despite the fact that she's a demon. Because of this, they decide to spare her life and request a trial with Kagaya Ubuyashiki in order to decide what to do about Nezuko.
- Unlike in canon, Shinobu is much more willing to listen to Giyu and doesn't act passive-aggressive towards him, even speaking with a somber tone when she notes that Giyu will also have to stand trial.

Ch.67-What Should Have Been
- Kagome getting to interact with her family in her dream, knowing that they're not a part of it.
- Mayu, the girl that entered Kagome's dream to destroy her spiritual core, can't bring herself to do so after seeing Kagome with her family.
- Inuyasha speaking with Satoru, Mayu's little brother who doesn't care about fulfilling Emnu's orders and chooses not to go through with it. He knows right away he's not a part of the dream, but he's not hostile towards him and hears him out.
Entertainment District
Ch.76-To Yoshiwara!
- Tanjiro finally confesses his romantic feelings for Kanao, (which she reciprocates,) which leads to them sharing their first kiss.
- Everyone all have their own reactions to the above kiss, but the most notable is how Tengen and Miroku smirk while Kagome and the Butterfly girls all Squee with joy and jump up and down.
