- Inuyasha dreaming his parents are still alive and he never was turned in lab rat for experimentation, but he nonetheless dates Kagome and has a good rapport with Kyojuro. The kicker? He's aware he's dreaming but as he explains to Mayu, it was nice to picture a world in which everything went right and all his loved ones were safe.
- In canon, Kyojuro’s death was sad enough, but this time around, Kagome and Inuyasha, his faithful wards, are there to witness it. Kagome breaks down completely,sobbing and begging the man she’s come to see as a father-figure despite being only a few years younger than him not to die, while Inuyasha, a normally stern and aloof young man, chokes back sobs of his own.

- Although all three of them were cruel demons, Kanna and Kagura were genuine friends with Rui to the point they are saddened by his death. However, even though they aren't members of the Twelve Kizuki, they are still pawns of Muzan, who had lied to them about Tanjiro and Kagome killing Rui so they can get rid of his enemies for him.
