As is the case with all pages detailing Heartwarming Moments, Spoilers Off

  • In general, Izuku's ability to bond with others based on a shared interest in heroes or quirks, all because Izuku is an endless fountain of knowledge and enthusiasm on both.
  • The vestiges, besides the Second and Third, are nothing but supportive of Izuku and do their best to help him in any given situation.
    • Due to their support, Izuku quickly comes to see them as his Family of Choice, a sentiment they return. When Inko learns of this, she wholeheartedly supports them, being glad that her son now has someone else on his side.
    • In spite of their opinion of Izuku, Second and Third get very angry on Izuku's behalf when they learn how he was heavily bullied because of his Quirklessness, drawing comparisons to how they lived through a time where Quirked people were the ones being bullied.
    • When he explains All Might about Bakugo's accusations after receiving the results, the vestiges hug him, along with the actual All Might.
      • All Might asks Izuku if he has spoken to Nana. Izuku relays that Nana is incredibly proud of All Might.
    • By chapter six, All Might privately considers Izuku to be his son and by chapter eight, he outright declares him as such to David Shield.
    • When Ryouji (Second) and Isamu (Third) finally come around, they announce it to Izuku by accepting their uncle labels.
  • Due to their empathic bond, Izuku and Ochako almost instantly become fast friends, with Inko openly inviting Ochako to stop by for dinner whenever she wants. Given her appearance during All Might's visit to Izuku's house, it's obvious she's a regular visitor.
  • Class 1-A quickly becomes a group of True Companions, as exemplified by the use of first names in the narration. Their common experiences just make them closer friends.
  • After Aizawa makes his threat of expelling the last one in the Quirk Assessment Test, Izuku manages to bolster everyone's confidence with a short Rousing Speech.
  • After the Quirk Assessment Test, everyone stays back so they can check on whether Izuku was in trouble with Aizawa, and after Setsuna suggests going out together to eat, Kirishima and Tetsutetsu grab Izuku so he can be reassured that he is more than welcome to join everyone.
  • Yui asks for Izuku's number and quickly begins to text with him, showing that she's really interested in his mumbling.
  • Izuku and Momo do wonders for each other's self-confidence when they're paired up for the Heroes vs Villains exercise.
  • The Class President vote (where everyone gets to cast two votes for different people) has Izuku win with eleven votes, showing their trust and respect for him.
    • In the aftermath, Izuku also notes how everyone greatly appreciates his Quirk analysis of them, with Yui stating he made her Quirk feel special.
  • All Might keeps tripping over referring to Izuku as his son rather than his successor in chapter six. At the end of the chapter, he mentally crosses out "Successor" and replaces it with "Son".
  • After the attack on the USJ, almost the entirety of 1-A give Izuku a massive group hug, asking him not to needlessly risk himself again. The only holdouts are Tenya, who's busy apologizing for "abandoning them" when he went to get the teachers, Reiko and Tokoyami who are holding hands nearby, and Koji and Kinoko who are standing together as Koji's crows try to cheer them up.
  • Tsuyu is very incredulous that Izuku legitimately doesn't believe he's worth affection and she goes on to detail how amazing he is.
  • Ochako's father attempts to be an Boyfriend-Blocking Dad towards Izuku, but openly admits it's rather hard to act like that towards someone who "punched a skyscraper in half" to save his daughter's life.
  • Izuku and Ochako meet Tensei, Tenya's brother and Pro Hero Ingenium. Tensei's first sentence is that Tenya has told his family a lot about them. As strait-laced as he is, it's obvious Tenya treasures his friendship with Izuku and Ochako.
    • When Izuku geeks out and asks for an autograph, Tensei readily and happily agrees to do it. Then he reads Izuku's analysis and states he would gladly hire him for his agency if he weren't a hero-in-training already.
  • When Izuku finds out about Kotaro Shimura's fate, all the vestiges console Nana, and Izuku would have joined them if he weren't awake and consoling his own mother.
  • While talking with David Shield, All Might tells his old friend that Izuku does for him what he always did for everyone else. Whenever Izuku smiles, he just knows everything is going to be okay.
  • When Izuku tells All Might his discovery of Tomura Shigaraki's true identity as Tenko Shimura, Nana's grandson, All Might breaks down crying, and Izuku gives him a hug and accidentally calls him Dad. All Might returns the hug and calls him "My son".
Izuku: We're going to work through this, Toshi-tou-san.
All Might: Indeed we will. This pain is great, but I will recover. Because you are here.
  • When the other classes come to check on 1-A, and Shinso states his intention to take one of the Hero Course's seats, Izuku welcomes it, acknowledging that the Entrance Exam is heavily biased against non-combat oriented Quirks and Quirks that would have no effect in robots - and tells him and everyone else present to bring in their A-game if they want to take the seat. Shinso replies that 1-A seems to live up to the hype, and Izuku and him shake hands.
  • After she learns of Izuku's horrible past with Bakugo, Momo asks if she can give him a hug. She does.
  • Izuku and Tsuyu are clearly angry that whoever did Toru's "suit" did not even bother to tell her about technologies that could be used to give her some actual protection. Tsuyu even seems ready to go on the warpath, given her request for body bags.
  • While hidden beneath the hilarity, Izuku gets clear evidence that Ochako truly loves him.
  • Izuku tells the other girls that he had always been afraid that he would never have a girlfriend, and that he does not want to date one of them and ruin his friendships with the others. The girls agree to have Izuku date all of them without discussion. That Toru bonds with Izuku shortly thereafter only makes it better.
    • Related, Ochako and Izuku reveal what happened that triggered their bond upgrade. The others are happy for them both, with Toru even hugging Izuku and Ochako while congratulating the duo.
  • The day after, Bakugou's parents come to the Midoriya's house, and both of them apologize for not doing more to prevent their son from going as bad as he did. Izuku forgives them, and the two families embrace.
    • The two of them also reveal that Bakugou has been accepted in Ketsubutsu's Villain Rehabilitation Program, giving him a chance to change his ways and become an actual hero.
  • When Melissa sees "Uncle Might's" emaciated form, she begins to plan ideas on how to restore him to health.
  • Izuku and Melissa quickly hit it off by sharing on their experience of being Quirkless. When Izuku states he wouldn't want her as a support technician, but as a friend, it ends up triggering a bond between them.
  • Mina and Setsuna ambush Izuku because they have realized his growing closeness with Toru, and want to make sure he isn't two-timing Ochako with Toru, because the two girls are their friends and they don't want to see them hurt. When Izuku reveals they are actually all together, they are glad for them.
  • When Ochako floats herself to the ceiling in embarrassment, Izuku floats after her and gently lowers her down in a Bridal Carry, with Ochako happily clinging to Izuku. The narration even admits that it didn't make Izuku feel any less flustered, but he definitely didn't regret his decision.
  • After Izuku learns of Todoroki's plight with his father, he promises to ruin the man, Number Two Hero or not. The Vestiges (even the Second and Third) agree with the idea, with the Third supporting Izuku getting Fa Jin as soon as he can.
  • Izuku manages to prevent Mei from going through her plan of using her gadgets during her first fight and then bowing out by easily coming up with an scenario she would understand. Mei decides to work something out with the other contestant - and is touched that Izuku would actually follow through his hypothetical scenario for the sake of her success.
    • The following chapter shows that not only was Akira happy to help Mei, but also promises to become her client if he gets in the hero course.
  • When Momo loses instantly to Shinso, Izuku quickly shows up to comfort her, doing such a good job reassuring her of how amazing she is that their bond levels up.
  • After Tenya loses his match to Shinso, Shiozaki approaches, worried, and gently gets him out of his funk.
  • Akira getting to experience his own Quirk by letting Monoma copy it. The fact that Monoma actually gives him a sincere compliment is a nice touch, too.
  • For Ochako and Tsuyu, the fact that they end up fighting each other is no impediment to their great friendship. Tsuyu even tells Ochako not to give up against Todoroki.
  • After Izuku wins against Shinso, he helps him to the infirmary, and the two begin to connect on their pasts' commonalities as outcasts - and finally Izuku asks Shinso to use his Quirk on him. This allows Yoichi to temporarily possess Izuku's body, and Izuku decides to see if he can allow the other Vestiges some time out as well.
  • After Ochako's fight with Todoroki, Izuku waits for her to come out of the infirmary and hugs her, telling her how worried and amazed he was during the fight. And then the two kiss.
  • Akira and Hitoshi are welcomed into 1-A's stands with not much of a fuss. Hitoshi apologizes to Momo for getting her out of the running so quickly, stating that he knew she would have beaten him if he hadn't snared her with his Quirk.
  • During Izuku's fight with Todoroki, he tells him off for half-assing the entire tournament and not using his fire for the sake of his hatred of his father, because Izuku knows that when Todoroki becomes a hero, no one will give a damn for his reasons not to use everything he has to stop villains. And then he explains that he wants everyone, including Todoroki, to become the Symbol of Peace. That finally convinces Todoroki to start using his flames.
  • Hitoshi and Todoroki becoming friends with Izuku at the podium, with Todoroki asking Izuku to call him Shouto and calling him "Izuku-nii".
  • All Might congratulating Hitoshi, Ochako, Shouto, and Izuku. Hitoshi gets the confirmation that both him and Akira will be able to join the Hero course, and All Might tells Izuku he's incredibly proud of him.
  • Izuku tells the girls about the bond being possibly broken, and asks them if they want to back out. None of them do, not even after Izuku reveals the truth of One for All.
    • Mei makes an impassioned speech about her belief in Izuku's claims, saying that she knows him well enough to know he is being sincere. This causes her bond with Izuku to level up.
  • In a warped version of heartwarming, Izuku's earnest, heroic nature earns him the respect of Stain, of all people, who puts him at the same level as All Might.
  • The Second and Third Torchbearers finally show up, with the Second agreeing that Izuku has impressed him. Both of them reveal their names, and the Second also shows his Quirk, which Izuku considers awesome.
  • Also a bit funny, but Izuku just casually dismissing the scorn Tsuyu previously got from her peers is this.
    Izuku: You’re sweet, you’re smart, you’re funny, you’re gorgeous-
Tsuyu: Ribbit, you think so, but growing up, so many people called me ugly because of my Quirk.
Izuku: Did you go to a school for people with severe visual impairments?
  • Tsuyu's younger sister misspelling Izuku's first name causes the Vestiges to realize he continued the trend of each One For All holder having their name contain the same number as their position. When Yoichi asks if they need to find a ten, Izuku unthinkingly replies that he's finishing up a date with a ten (Tsuyu) at that very moment.
  • Izuku's interactions with Tsuyu's younger siblings show her that he's good with kids and it's implied that realizing he'd be a good father causes her bond to level up.
  • When Izuku realizes that Tenya is plotting to go to Hosu just to find Stain and take revenge on him, he quickly warns the adults, who find a way to ensure he will be away from Hosu without making it look enforced. All Might even makes a call to Gran Torino in order to find Tenya a suitable teacher.
  • During their date, Izuku tells Toru that he's seen many girls who were conventionally beautiful, but since they sneered or condescended when they looked at him, he just saw them as ugly - and even though he cannot see Toru's face, her chipper and upbeat personality makes her one of the prettiest people he's ever met. Toru ends up shedding several Tears of Joy.
  • Izuku's date with Mei is to an inventor's expo, where Mei has the time of her life because not only can she trade ideas with other fellow inventors, she's already making waves due to her performance at the Sports Festival. Even though he just acts as her note-taker, Izuku considers it all Worth It just for seeing her face lighting up.
    • Mei's parents express their fears that their daughter was making up Izuku or that she just thought he was her boyfriend. Izuku makes it obvious how much he treasures and cherishes Mei, in spite of - or because of - her quirks.
    • At the end of the date, Mei gives him a deep kiss and thanks him.
Mei: I’m really glad to have you, Izuku. I’m doing so much better ‘cause of you, and everyone you brought with you.
  • Izuku takes Ochako to the planetarium for their date, which she completely enjoys.
  • Ochako also reveals that her parents' company is now getting a lot of contracts thanks to the Yaoyorozu Group opening the gates - which Momo had suggested several chapters earlier.
  • Mirio and Izuku quickly warm up to each other, finding a common point in how their Quirks have issues that need a lot of training to figure out.
  • When Sir Nighteye tries to make Izuku feel as if he should give Mirio One for All, Izuku's first response is to say that he won't let Mirio be killed by Nighteye due to the rapid aging caused by One for All.
  • After realizing how off-base he was in regards to Izuku, Sir Nighteye gives him a honest, heartfelt apology - even gifting him his rarest All Merch piece in an attempt to make up for his previous faux pas.
  • Izuku quickly takes to Eri, protecting her from Overhaul and comforting her.
  • Izuku uses Blackwhip to comfort Eri after her Quirk goes haywire.
  • Nejire is clearly excited to be part of the polycule after learning of Izuku's Quirk, but she also understands that the others aren't as prepared for it as she is and she is willing to control herself for everyone's sake.
  • Toshinori taking some time out to relax and have fun with Inko. After so much time being Married to the Job, it is good to see him being able to be himself and in the company of someone he likes.
  • Tenya understanding what everyone has been telling him, and rushing to find Stain - not to fight him, but to prevent the Hero Killer from claiming another victim.
  • Everyone who has reached a level two bond with Izuku positively gushes over Eri, from Ochako insisting she deserves all the hugs they can give her, to Mei declaring she's going to make Eri a narwhal onesie (based off Tsuyu's comment calling Eri a narwhal).
  • Izuku's advice for Toru regarding her internship, along with just how helpful he's been in general, causes her bond to level up on the first day of their internships.
    • Then he learns the actual reason: her mentor's advice (combined with Izuku's) has allowed her to become visible for the first time ever.
  • When Eri meets Aizawa, she's scared - particularly when he sees him using Eraser to erase Izuku's Blackwhip. Aizawa tells her that he will instead use his Quirk on Overhaul should he come closer.
  • When Izuku and Ochako find Melissa in Mei's room at U.A.'s dorm, the two quickly cheer up and give the older girl The Glomp.
  • Upon meeting Eri, Mina declares that "If anything happens to her, we riot", something all of 1-A agrees to.
  • Eri declares the entire polycule (plus Mirio) as her Family of Choice.
    • She is later shown addressing all of Izuku's classmates (as well as a few of 1-B's students) as her aunts and uncles.
  • The entire reason why One for All reached Singularity sooner was because of the additional Bonding Quirk that got mixed up with Stockpile before it was placed into Yoichi Shigaraki. What makes it heartwarming is that the reason that mixing happened was because the owners of Stockpile and Bonding were lovers, something that caused both Quirks to attract each other. In other words, two people loved each other so much that their love was LITERALLY IMPRINTED ON THEIR SUPERPOWERS, even after their Quirks were stolen. Talk about The Power of Love.
  • After a Love Epiphany during the finals, Kirishima talks to Tetsutetsu and the pair agree to try dating each other and Mina, with Kirishima stating that Tetsutetsu is his "best bro" and he'd want to be with him forever if he could. Both agree that even if it doesn't work out, at least they'd have tried and they'll still be best friends.
    • In the next chapter, it is revealed that Mina started to scream in joy after Eijiro finally asked her out, and has no problem in bringing Tetsutetsu into their relationship.
  • Melissa's bond levels up after hearing Denki says she's his hero, which Melissa states she'd wanted to hear from someone for so long and hearing it put everything in perspective.
    • As a result of Melissa's bond leveling up, Toshinori can telepathically speak to the bondmates as well as the former holders, allowing him to reunite with Nana. His first reunion with her in the Vestiges' mindscape has them hugging for half an hour, Toshinori clearly letting out all the pain he's kept inside ever since his mother figure's loss.
  • Momo's parents meet with Hisashi Midoriya (who turns out to be an employee of theirs) in order to question him about his motives for leaving his family, and Hisashi makes it a condition for that conversation that, if they decide to fire him, that Inko and Izuku get his full salary until Izuku is twenty. The Yaoyorozus agree with it and extend the time limit to Izuku's twenty-first birthday.
    • The Yaoyorozus also have nothing but good things to say about Izuku, making it clear that they like their daughter's boyfriend.
    • Hisashi explains why he divorced Inko: unlike other fanfics where he leaves out of Fantastic Racism, Hisashi had a terrible childhood (which, in some ways, was even worse than Izuku's) that left him unable to understand how to be a good parent and a terrible fiery temper. That made him realize he would likely end up failing his son at some point, and chose to take himself out of the equation rather than hurt him and Inko. And he never chose to tell Izuku because he knew he would have had a hard time understanding it, and trying to do it now would make it look like he was trying to ride in his son's coattails.
    • The Yaoyorozus suggest him to give contacting his son a try, and tell him that All Might has stepped in as his Parental Substitute. Hisashi smiles, glad that his son has a role model he can take up after.
  • Izuku makes an earnest attempt to convince Shigaraki to change sides after realizing the latter is also a victim of All for One's machinations.
  • While confronting Shigaraki at the mall, Izuku's last two bonds reach level two: Yui from Izuku thinking he could die happy if it meant he died saving her and Nejire from Izuku thinking how much he loved her when she blasted Shigaraki away from him.
  • Eri accidentally activating her Quirk causes both Inko and Toshinori to be de-aged by roughly a decade. More importantly, it undoes the damage All For One did to Toshinori. The chapter ends with Eri realizing that Overhaul was wrong and her Quirk isn't a curse.
  • When Izuku and the others go to I-Expo, the girls decide to take up a different plane, which Izuku notes as weird. However, Inko later tells All Might that Izuku's birthday is the day after their arrival to I-Island, and the girls are planning a surprise for him.
  • Melissa gives Izuku a pair of sleeves that allow him to use more of One for All and reduces the self-damage he could suffer if he goes beyond the limit, as well as let him use Laser Disc by firing through special grooves - and then she reveals it's her birthday gift to him. Izuku tears up, as Melissa is the first person (other than his mother and Mitsuki) to give him a birthday present ever since he was in preschool.
  • Star and Stripe shows up, and it's obvious she's close to the Shield family, as she excitedly calls Melissa "Mel" and noting she's grown up, while Melissa calls her "Miss Cathy".
    • Melissa presents Izuku to Star and Stripe, and the US Number 1 Hero happily signs on her entry in Izuku's notebook, even noting that Izuku's idea of how her Quirk works is the closest anyone's ever been to the truth. Then Melissa tells her Izuku's full name - and she hugs him, declaring she had wanted to meet him since she heard of him, even calling him "bro".
  • We get to see the original owners of Bonding and Stockpile. While they clearly had rough childhoods growing up at the Dawn of Quirks, they managed to find each other through the growing chaos. Their relief when they each realize the other has a Meta Ability like them is palpable. Thankfully, society doesn't collapse until after they get married.
    • At the end of the flashback, the inevitable tragic end arrives... and is avoided. While they both lose their Quirks, Shizuku's injuries are healed courtesy of Bonding's final level, and All for One doesn't even bother killing Hitoshi. Considering it had seemed like a given that both would have been killed, the fact they left the Quirk-losing encounter with their lives is a relief.
  • Yoichi wishing to talk with Todoroki, upon the realization that latter is asexual like him, since there are not many people who share this aspect of sexuality.
  • Toshinori, after keeping it on the downlow from Izuku, finally works up the courage to ask his successor if he can date his mother. Crosses over into Funny when this causes Izuku to faint.
  • Izuku has an "Eureka!" Moment that leads to him creating a new Quirk out of whole cloth, all for Melissa. Melissa answers by giving him such an intense kiss that she triggers their bond's third level.
  • Chapter 34 is a non-stop series of this, as Izuku has his first happy birthday in more than a decade with all the girls he loves.
    • Nejire gets him a notebook full of hero autographs, all addressed to his Hero identity, and takes him to an obstacle course ride for people with flying Quirks.
    • Mei makes Izuku a new pair of boots that not only fit him well, they have several features that combine several of her previous babies and make his kicks stronger.
    • Tsuyu gifts him a handmade scarf that looks like lilypads on water, and he happily wears it as he returns from lunch with her and Eri.
      • Fumikage and Reiko end up crossing paths with them at this point, and one innocent comment from Eri pushes the two of them to finally reveal their feelings for each other, which they had held up on doing because they feared the other would not be interested.
      • Also, Eri's reaction to seeing them is absolutely adorable, as she clearly considers all of Izuku's classmates (those not involved with Izuku, that is) her aunts and uncles. Considering that their first interaction was of Eri being shaken by Fumikage's resemblance to Overhaul's mask, it shows how far she has come.
    • Momo and Yui work together to make a full line of very detailed action figures of himself and everyone close to him (the girls, all of 1-A, Mirio, Tamaki, Aizawa, Nezu, Inko, and Eri), showing him exactly what's going to happen when they all become heroes.
    • Toru gifts him two plushies, representing him (a green rabbit) and her (a rainbow-colored chameleon) as they have fun window shopping and talking about Quirks.
      • When she asks about Bakugo's Quirk, Izuku mentions how it was a combination of his parents' Quirks, Masaru's Nitric Acid and Mitsuki's Glycerin. Toru asks worried if Masaru tried to do to Mitsuki what Endeavor did to his wife, Izuku laughs that it was actually Mitsuki who pursued Masaru, because she considered him too adorable - which Toru states is the same thing she did.
    • The final event is dinner with Ochako, who gets him a promise ring - made out of steel from the Zero Pointer Izuku destroyed to save her, and engraved with his hero name and the date of the entrance exam (which is also the day they bonded). Izuku calls it the best birthday present he's ever received and puts it on.
      • Izuku also tells her he would have asked her to marry him that same day - and Ochako replies that she might have actually said yes.
  • As the students are about to leave, Eri is once more her adorable self, as she hugs "Grandpa David" and "Aunt Star" goodbye. When Star and Stripe learns that Izuku is in a polyamorous relationship, she reveals that she is in a happy, stable relationship with her squadron mates.
  • Izuku decides to tell Aizawa about One for All, because the hero has earned his trust. Aizawa feels touched by it.
    • After Aizawa accidentally uses his personal nickname for Izuku (Problem Child) he apologizes, because after all the time Izuku's been discounted by adults, he deserves to be treated with respect.
  • Tsuyu's family visits U.A., and Izuku and his girlfriends in 1-A go to the pool with Eri and Tsuyu's siblings. Eri quickly hits it off with Satsuki, and the group has fun as they teach the girls how to swin. After Satsuki shocks Eri into triggering her Quirk, Satsuki apologizes and then the two hug.
  • Awase, after learning about Shouto's past and working with him during the end of term exams, is now on friendly terms with the "Ice Prince". In fact, the 1-B students are getting on well with each other, even bantering and having fun together, and Vlad King is also feeling a lot better.
  • It turns out that Tamaki has moved into 1-B's dorms as well, along with Mirio, and 1-B is quite understanding of the former's crippling social anxiety.
  • When Vlad King mentions that Eri is going to join the trip, Ojiro asks Monoma if he isn't going to complain about 1-A bringing a "mascot", only for Monoma to state that he would have to be a monster to insult Eri.
    • Eri comes by to hug Mirio, and the 1-B students that don't know her yet comment on how adorable she is.
  • Eri is initially afraid of Shoji due to his mask reminding her of Chisaki, something that the boy is rather hurt by. But once Mirio explains things, Shoji takes off his mask and Eri asks why anyone would find him scary (the reason he wears said mask) and that he's super nice.
  • Even after Kota attacked him and then unknowingly pressed Eri's Trauma Button, Izuku takes the time to patiently listen to the kid vent and explains to him what happened to Eri, even bringing up a painful memory to show a point to Kota.
    • Kota takes what Izuku told him to heart: when Muscular shows up, stating he intends to kidnap Eri and threatening to murder Kota, the latter remembers Izuku's words and takes Eri's hand so they can run away together.
  • After Enji chooses to expose his abuse towards his family in a press conference, All Might goes on record saying that while Enji's actions are appalling, he'd still trust Endeavor with his life.
  • In the aftermath of the League's summer training camp raid, Rappa ends up complying with the arrest. Not only do the students start vouching for him to get a lighter sentence, Mirko shows up to vouch for him. She clearly hasn't forgot how he helped her all those years ago during the fall of the Underground Masquerade.
  • Yui uses her evolved Quirk on some shoes Mei made for Mt. Lady, allowing the heroine to finally have shoes that grow with her. Yuu is so happy that she eagerly offers Yui not only a standing invitation to intern with her but also to be her sidekick when she graduates.
  • In chapter 42, Nezu remarks to himself that he sees Izuku as a pet, specifically the kind of pet where their owner considers them a mixture of sibling and offspring.
  • When All for One warps Izuku and the League away from the hideout and replaces them with a group of Nomu, Endeavor, of all people, is the one who calms All Might down.
Endeavor: We can handle this. Go get your son.
  • Eri now knows that Izuku has Overhaul. But she doesn't care: Izuku is her Papa, and him having the Quirk that hurt her so much will never change that.
  • Izuku visits Ragdoll to return Search to her. He doesn't care that he will lose it, he just wants to help people and undo the damage All for One did. Ragdoll cries in happiness as she thanks him.
    • Related to this is Kota hugging Izuku and thanking him for saving him from Muscular. Izuku replies by thanking him for distracting Muscular just when he needed it.
  • Izuku gives All Might part of the One for All stockpile, as well as the copies for a few Quirks - including Bonding.
    • All Might bonds with Inko the very moment he sees her after receiving the Quirk.
  • To celebrate the happy resolution of the Kamino raid, 1-B decides to organize a party and invite their 1-A classmates.
  • Izuku uses Diagnosis and Overhaul to modify Aoyama's body so he can fire Navel Laser without hurting himself. Aoyama is left in Tears of Joy at being given such a present.
  • Endeavor sends Izuku a letter, thanking him for making him open his eyes and revealing why Hisashi left his family. For Izuku, who had always feared his father had left because of his Quirklessness, learning the truth is an actual relief. He also resolves to reach out to the man, who had already resigned himself to never speaking to his son again.
  • The Ennead consoling Nana as she cries over her son and her mistakes.
  • Izuku grants Aizawa two boons: a minor mutation so he can use his Quirk non-stop without suffering from dry eye (which prompts Aizawa to claim Izuku is now his favorite student) and a chance to meet with En, who Aizawa had shown interest in earlier. He also takes care of healing all the minor chronic pains his teacher has.
  • Izuku talks with Hisashi for the first time since the former was two, and father and son manage to connect and hash out their problems in the call.
    • It turns out that Hisashi arranged to help Ochako's parents with their financial troubles while he did their background check.
    • Izuku and the girls point out to Hisashi that the women in his team are clearly interested in him - and said women interrupt to thank them for giving Hisashi the push he needed to accept it.
  • When Izuku tells Mandalay what he did to take down Muscular, Mandalay is touched when he mentions how he protected Kota from the Ax-Crazy villain.
  • Inasa Yoarashi bows so hard he hits his head with the ground, making him start to bleed. Izuku quickly heals him, and Yoarashi thanks him for helping, stating he's the type of hero he had expected from U.A.
  • One of the reasons why Aizawa decides to accept Ms. Joke's suggestion of a date is seeing his students dating each other and thriving. As much as he's influencing the teens, it's clear they're also influencing him.
  • Ms. Joke gives Aizawa an envelope for Izuku, which is all but said to come from Bakugo. From her words, while Bakugo's still far from the ideal, he's much better than The Bully he was just a few months before.
  • When 1-A meets Inasa, he mentions how he didn't join U.A. because of his dislike of Shoto, but learning of Endeavor's actions led him to bury the hatchet, and Tenya lifts his spirits by pointing out he can learn from his mistakes.
    • Inasa and Denki becoming friends in the short time they've talked.
  • When Toru feels insecure over how Camie Utsushimi's Quirk seems to be more related to En's than her own, Izuku and En assure her she's the one they want.
  • Yui finally gets to become a Henshin Hero Ascended Fangirl, grinning as she engages in battle with Gang Orca's fake Faceless Mooks.
  • Present Mic and Midnight congratulating Eraserhead for getting together with Ms. Joke.
  • Izuku and Melissa tearing up at having their Hero Licenses, something the two formerly Quirkless teens had never thought they'd ever possess.
  • Denki cheers Inasa up by pointing out that, no matter that he was at the bottom of the scale, he still got his Hero License. With the same words Itsuka used to cheer him up during the exams.
  • Eri comes to the exam building, wearing an orca-themed onesie, and she once more proves to be super-adorable by hugging Eraserhead's leg and calling him 'Uncle Aizawa', causing Ms. Joke to Squee at how precious she is. Then she gets to meet Gang Orca, who absolutely melts in front of the young girl.
  • Bakugo writes Izuku a sincere apology letter, promising to stay away from him from then on, and including a warning about what the HPSC tried.
  • Izuku restores Tensei Iida's health, allowing him to not only walk again, but also letting him return to heroics.
    • He also goes to Tartarus to see if he can restore the Winged Nomu to his actual self as Tsubasa. Even though the boy bullied him, Izuku wants to save him - and is devastated when he can't do anything to truly help him beyond granting him a Mercy Kill.
  • Denki and Itsuka agree to date Kyoka at the same time after the latter says she likes them both.
  • There's something about the polycule dating each other that brings out the warm and fuzzies. Case in point, Ochako and Tsuyu on a star gazing date.
  • It is heavily implied Tsuyu has an entire album of Eri being adorable. The picture she used to get Gang Orca to do a work study? Eri sleeping with a plushie bunny.
  • Izuku has a mutterstorm about his upcoming training with Mirko, and Momo reveals she has not only understood a good part of it, but that she (and all the girls) are working so they can fully understand them. Izuku is so moved by this reveal that he tells Momo he would give her a promise ring if he had one on him.
    • Word of God reveals that Izuku promised to give promise rings to the girls when it became an actual special moment, instead of making a blanket proposal to all of them.
  • Proving that even the most aloof people fall to Eri's charm, Jirou in a video shown to Takeshi was teaching the unicorn child how to drum. When she did a half devil horn to match her own horn, Jirou agreed it fits her and dubs it the Eri Horns.
    • Another victim of Eri's cuteness: Miruko. When Miruko brings Izuku back to U.A. and Eri asks if she can stay, the hero agrees.
    • Eri invites All Might and Miruko to a tea party.
  • Izuku Overhauls Takeshi so the food he needs to power his Quirk actually tastes good for him.
  • After capturing Magne, Izuku offers to cure her gender dysphoria by making her a woman biologically. After some confusion as to why he'd bother, Magne happily accepts and sheds Tears of Joy over finally being a woman in both body and mind.
  • On his first day at U.A., Hitoshi expected to become once more a bully target because of his Quirk. Akira's first words to him were to say that his Quirk was cool and to offer to train with him so both could join the Hero Course.
  • Despite her endless energy, Nejire still gets tired and pulls the Sleepy Nejire meme. This is doubly heartwarming as after months of hugs and other PDA, Izuku can finally share said intimacy in public without blushing.
  • Pony and Tigre revealed they came up with kanji that represent each other's first names because their last name are Japanese. Crosses over into funny a bit because Pony picked the ones for Blood, Fear, and Rip and Tear.
  • Gentle and La Brava decide to do something good for Twice, as they can see through his Sad Clown mask.
  • Izuku thanks Gentle Criminal for bringing recognition to Charger through the video the Tea Spillers published, and hints them to avoid causing chaos at U.A. so they can continue their work.
  • Team Zero's legacy has survived through their descendant Manami Aiba.
  • When Tsuyu finally reveals to the Ennead that she can change sex at will now due to the bonding, her fears of rejection prove completely unfounded. Yui just immediately states how hot Tsuyu is as a boy, something the others all agree with. Momo remarks she already considered the possibility but wasn't sure how to ask. Mei admits she thought they all knew she could but just didn't talk about it. And Izuku uses the opportunity to give her a promise ring.
Izuku: Tsu-chan, it doesn't matter to me if you're a girl or a boy or neither or both. I bonded to you because you're you! You're the frog I fell in love with.
  • Marcus Cuvier, Kuraudo Island's steward, proves himself a great host for the students, and takes great joy in showing them the work his family has carried out for the past seven generations. When he later speaks with Izuku, he makes it clear how seriously he and everyone with him takes the care of the creatures in the island.
    • Nakina, Marcus' Hoplophoneus, tells him via Koji that she considers him hers, and Marcus replies by mentioning how much he loves her, as well.
  • When Yui notices Mei getting bored at the park, she kindles her interest by asking if she could make a robot version of a Brachiosaurus.
  • Eri has the time of her life with the animals at Kuraudo Island's petting zoo, even getting to ride a Zuniceratops. Meanwhile, Marcus tells Izuku and Inko that most of the crew finds taking care of the petting zoo relaxing.
    • Said Zuniceratops has children, and Eri is allowed to hold one of the babies - who, coincidentally, only has one horn coming out of its forehead. She's also allowed to give the baby a name (Zuzu-chan), because that way they can still be best friends.
    • During the frenzied creatures' attack, Zuzu ends up protecting Eri by creating a forcefield. Jurassic Mark states that, when she is ready to be separated from her mother, Eri will be allowed to be with her at U.A.
  • Momo reflects on the many people she's met due to her parents' connections... and finds that all of them fall short of how wonderful the Ennead is.
  • Koji makes friends with a Megatherium that has a Quirk that allows it to transform into a tree sloth. The Megatherium ends up protecting him from Dawson when he tries to attack Koji as a panther, and bonds with him, gaining a Super Mode. Jurassic Mark states that this means he can allow Koji to bring the Megatherium (now named Avo-kun) back to Japan.
  • Inko reflects on how, in spite of how crazy things have been since Izuku started attending U.A., she's happy with the turn of events.
  • When Shoji comes to keep watch on Eri and Inko, Eri happily hugs "Uncle Mezo".
  • After the fight with Nine, Monoma apologizes to Izuku over his previous behaviour. Izuku not only forgives him, but tells him to call him by his name.
  • Izuku and Neito combine their abilities to restore Oboro Shirakumo back to life. Present Mic and Midnight hug Izuku while doing some Inelegant Blubbering, and Aizawa looks like he's finally lifted a heavy weight off his shoulders.
    • Shirakumo wants to save Tomura from himself. Even after all the stuff Tomura's done, Shirakumo still can see the lost kid that has been manipulated by All for One for so long.
  • The Ennead (save for Melissa, who's Jewish, and even she joins the festivities) celebrates Christmas with Eri.
  • Two days later, the Ennead throw Ochako the best birthday she's ever had, which is implied to end with Izuku and Ochako having Their First Time.
  • Chapter 67 has several in a row:
    • Mei has modified Izuku's costume to incorporate parts of his predecessors' costumes, such as En's scarf, Nana's cape, and Daigoro's goggles.
Izuku: It's like I'm carrying my family with me.
    • Becomes Heartwarming in Hindsight when the following chapter reveals that after seeing the costume, Izuku proposed Mei and Melissa on spot.
    • During a class on PR, Mt. Lady makes a mock interview with Izuku, and asks him about the girls he's in love with. He lights up and proceeds to make a long speech about how he met and what he loves about each of the eight girls in the Ennead, rendering all of them blushing and in between embarrassment and joy at how much they mean to him.
    • Yu Takeyama (Mt. Lady's civilian identity) takes a moment to apologize to Izuku for the Sludge Villain incident two years prior, admitting how badly she messed up and that she regrets her failure both for saving Bakugo herself and for not defending Izuku when Kamui Woods and Death Arms yelled at him. She also adds that Kamui Woods wants to apologize as well.
      • After accepting her apology, Izuku pulls out the page he wrote for her and asks for her autograph, which Yu makes out to "her first fan" once she realizes he wrote the page on the day she debuted.
  • Nezu's catchphrase comes from what a biology student who met him in the wild would call him - and who died trying to save him from the laboratory where he was being experimented on.
    • There is also the fact that this woman's kindness towards Nezu is most likely what prevented him from becoming a spiteful and human-hating monster wanting revenge, and showing him that not all humans are bastards. Small Role, Big Impact, indeed.
  • Izuku, Mei, Melissa, and Nejire have fun in the snow, making snowmen.
  • While the atmosphere from the Tea Spillers latest video is somber given how they expose the HSPC corruption to the world, it's heartwarming to see how far these characters came. The whole idea for the team started off a way for the then three of them to get famous at the expense of criminals hidden in plain sight, now all of them are ready to die if it means to expose the crimes of a powerful and evil organization. The Tea Spillers may not be heroes in the conventional way, but they are heroes nonetheless, and they sure as hell left their mark on the world.
    • As the war with the Meta Liberation Army winds down, Nezu manages to arrange the Tea Spillers' move to become Pro Heroes. For Gentle, this means the restoration of his old dream to use his power to help people.
  • Neito gets his moment to shine when Best Jeanist encourages him to steal the spotlight, stating he has faith in him. He then meets Inasa, who helps him get rid of Mustard's poison gas while cheering him - and gets a Bond with the guy.
  • Inko gets the courage to fight Re-Destro when he is attempting to kill All Might. After the fight, All Might is in such awe that he asks her to marry him.
    • Also, the fact that her knocking Re-Destro out will become the iconic image for the entire Second Meta Liberation Uprising.
  • Izuku playing tag with Nejire so he can lure her to a secluded place and propose to her, and her reaction only makes the moment sweeter.
  • Izuku, Star and Stripe, and Miruko have fun with Eri.
  • When Takeshita was asked about Gentle in an interview, he admitted that he hadn't thought of him for years - but then stated he wouldn't help arrest him because he believed the Tea Spillers' actions to uncover corruption were necessary, and expressed the belief that soon Takeshita will just be "the guy who forgot about Gentle Criminal". For Gentle, whose turn to villainy was caused by that encounter with his old classmate, it proves a balm.
  • Izuku consoles Toru after she kills the Tomura clone they fought, and gives her the cuddles she wants.
  • In Chapter 77: Isamu and Ryouji try to console Izuku when he comes to them to cry about having to put Tomura down if he has to, advising him to not give up on finding another way, and even offering to ease his burden by doing it themselves if they have to. The scene of the cynical vestiges that once saw him and All Might in the beginning of the story as idealistic children trying their best to help the kid out of a tough decision shows how much they grew to care for the Ninth Holder. Ryouji even admitted that as much as All Might's tenure made him uncomfortable, he had things pretty well handled until his fight with All for One forced him to come close to breaking his Thou Shall Not Kill rule.

Kyuseishu's Heroic Analysis

  • Hikage Shinomori met Daigoro Banjo when the latter stopped a Glory Hound "hero" from beating the former up. After watching Lariat act as a real hero, Hikage told him about One for All and passed it on. Daigoro then took him to a hospital and stayed with him until he passed away - his last sight being Daigoro using One for All for the first time.
