• Asule buys Su Ma a mirror so she won't have to go to water to see her reflection when she wants to brush her hair.
• A sad moment that turns sweet: Ji Ye doesn't want to high-five Yu Ran because he thinks his hands aren't clean and he doesn't want to dirty hers. So Yu Ran grabs his hand and says her hands aren't clean either now.
• Only one of Ji Ye's fellow prisoners is kind to him: an old man who shares food with him and tells him how to escape. Later Ji Ye repays his kindness in the only way he can. He finds the old man's body and, seeing he doesn't have any shoes, gives him his own shoes.
