• In the prologue Gui Chen/Asule defeats a large group of soldiers single-handed (with the help of magic, but still).
• A man tries to take Su Ma away to be his slave. Asule objects. He's so furious that it takes two grown men to drag him off the man.
• Asule, Ji Ye and Yu Ran meet up for the first time when Ji Ye and Yu Ran see a Chi Ya soldier attacking Asule. They immediately go to help him, and the three of them manage to kill the soldier.
• During the tournament Ji Ye is injured and almost falls off his horse. So he jams his spear into the ground and uses it to regain his balance.
• A pervert tries to get Yu Ran to sleep with him. She picks up a chair and breaks it over his head.
• Yu Ran, who started out as the most immature character in the series, tries to assassinate Shang Yue to protect Ji Ye.
