- Episode 10 is regarded as the saddest and bleakest episode of an already sad and bleak show, but the way Marianne consoles Connell after Rob's suicide and Connell's breakup with Helen is a light in the darkness. Daisy Edgar-Jones' consoling gaze over their Skype conversations is enough to melt your heart, and she keeps one of their calls going all night even after Connell falls asleep.
