"You, know, I think your sword's...more than just a glow stick. It's really special 'cause you're really special."

The Show:

  • Adorabat telling Mao Mao she still loves him after Mao Mao lost the adoration of the Sweetie-Pies in "Popularity Conquest".
Mao Mao: It was nice to be loved... for once...
[The visor in Mao Mao's hand crumbles into ash and blows away, revealing Adorabat staring up at Mao Mao with a smile.]
Adorabat: I love you, Mao Mao.
[Adorabat lifts up her wing to hold Mao Mao's hand.]
Adorabat: (Notices Mao Mao holding back his tears) What's wrong?
Mao Mao: N-Nothing! I-It's just smoke in my eyes! Yeah... That's all.
  • The next episode, "Sick Mao", opens with the team being woken up by the alarm... And Badgerclops is still sleeping on the top bunk !
  • The final exchange between Mao Mao and his father in "Small". After several episodes showcasing his Parental Neglect, Shin Mao is finally proud of his son.
    Shin Mao: You know...
Mao Mao: Yes, Father, I know. You would have charged in head-on and taken him out in half the time without breaking a sweat, parrying every strike with precision and ease. I just...I thought I finally had a chance to prove myself to you. I know you always say there's no shame in being small...
Shin Mao: (tearing up) Mao Mao, my son, you are not small.
  • Orangusnake performing a Group Hug with his minions in "All By Mao Self".
  • Orangusnake's origin when he used to be two separate individuals, Coby and Tanner, with both forming a bond so strong they wrapped around each other and became the pirate he's known for today.
  • A good look at the lyrics to the intro easily shows that its sung from Adorabat's perspective and how much she loves and admires Mao Mao for helping her become a hero.
  • Seeing as how Mao Mao was a victim to Parental Neglect, it's no wonder why he dotes Adorabat so much. He sees himself in her and does not wish the same kind of childhood he had on her.
  • In "Baost in Show", Mao Mao finally accepts that Bao Bao can do whatever he wants. And at the end of the episode, when Bao Bao leaves, Mao Mao smiles.
  • In "Sleeper Sofa", several times we can see Orangusnake cooing to Ratarang and treating him affectionately.
    • He also endures a ton of abuse throughout the episode without saying a word, in order to make the infiltration work. What makes him blow his cover? The sheriff trio making his crew cry (even if it was just Ramaraffe).
  • It's a strange and comedic one, but the reason Orangusnake and co. always yell that they're okay whenever they get beaten is because, even though they don't like Mao Mao, they genuinely don't want him to think he actually seriously hurt them.
  • Orangusnake treats his minions well despite how bottom of the barrel they are.
  • In "Lonely Kid", Mao Mao's silent realization that he is indeed loved when Adorabat and Badgerclops get into a Lover Tug of War over who really is his best friend. It's enough to get him Tears of Joy.
    • Mao Mao's recounting of how he and Bao Bao first met and their subsequent friendship.
    • The background song which plays through much of the episode.
  • “Try Hard” has Adorabat rescue her friends Mao Mao and Badgerclops, and she was willing to risk her freedom and life by fighting the sky pirates even if it could have gotten her kidnapped by them too or killed with her friends. She succeeds in rescuing Mao Mao and Badgerclops without getting captured/kidnapped or hurt badly/killed either. Not bad for a little kid bat.
  • At the end of “Adoradad”, Mao Mao and Badgerclops prepare to depart, when Eugene stops the two, saying they can’t leave without the most fearless member of the group. Adorabat promptly flies back to Mao Mao, and Mao Mao cries Tears of Joy as he hugs Adorabat, happy to have her back.
  • In "Zing Your Heart Out", Mao Mao goes full Papa Wolf when Chester rudely mocks Adorabat and her jokes. And does so again at the end, paying him back for getting everything started and endangering Adorabat that way (albeit with a rather dark lesson in "physical comedy").
  • Sure it may have been for a selfish reason that if Orangusnake dies Mao Mao would never become a Legendary Hero but in “Strange Bedfellows” When Mao Mao and Orangusnake are in danger of drowning in Cement and Concrete, Mao Mao breaks all of his bones in order to save both himself and Orangusnake’s lives from suffocating to death in the Cement pool that is quickly filling with wet concrete.
