  • It's hard not to smile upon seeing Pat's reaction when he walks into the birthday party. He jumps back in surprise and gives a huge smile as the game's arrangement of "Happy Birthday" starts to play, then looks back at the player character and his eyes well up as the Investigator affectionately pats him on the head and puts a birthday hat on top of his baseball cap.
  • Talking to Lovely Maria at the party has her say how proud she is of Pat for not "threatening a coat rack shadow with a stapler and jumping out a window" or "dumping the bowl of punch in the toilet thinking it was poison", and how his birthday is already going so much better than last year's. This implies that this is far from the first time Pat has reacted with terror to something his family planned for him, meaning that they are aware of how difficult he can be to deal with, but still love him all the same. On top of that, Pat's happiness when you talk to him makes it clear that underneath his panicky nature, he also loves his family when he isn't letting his anxiety deceive him into thinking someone is out to get him, which can send a reassuring message to anyone who has had to deal with anxiety.
  • While it's just a background detail, a cute, childlike drawing of Pat with the words "I love you" on it can be seen on his cupboard in the Golden Ending. It could have been drawn by one of his younger relatives or by Pat himself, and while the former possibility is already heartwarming, the latter makes Pat seem childish, but in an endearing way.
  • Skids Valentino's minigame involves playing hide-and-seek with him... and letting him win by deliberately checking areas he's not obviously located. Awwwww.
  • Danny's letter thanking you for taking the time to read his texts and follow his advice on where to go in the city, saying it helped give him purpose and recover from the loss of his love, Sally.
  • The Knife's minigame is an anime-style Dating Sim, though Knife tells you it's practice to raise his self-esteem for a real date with another gator. Ace it completely, however, and it's clear you left far more of an impression than mere confidence-boosting. When you see him again, he'll admit that he called off the blind date because he wants to go out with you instead.
