Despite all the hilarity, horror, and tears brought about by the game, Forgotten Land has done nothing to break Kirby's trend of being Sweet Dreams Fuel that will melt your heart.

  • It's adorable to see how quickly Elfilin and Kirby bond to the point where the moment Elfilin is kidnapped, the mission immediately switches from "rescue the Waddle Dees and maybe find out what's going on along the way" to "rescue Elfilin at any cost." While Kirby has always been excellent at making friends, he and Elfilin seem to form an especially strong bond, likely due to their mutual good-heartedness and desire to help others.
    • Another good example of their bond is Elfilin's Heroic Sacrifice at the end, showing that he's willing to die for all the friends he's made. Thankfully, he survives and almost immediately reunites with Kirby.
  • The existence of Waddle Dee Town is actually rather heartwarming. In addition to just being cute as all get out, it also shows the perseverance of the Waddle Dees and their willingness to make the best of a bad situation.
    • While in Waddle Dee Town, Kirby can greet the Waddle Dees with the + Control Pad, which is really adorable.
    • Watching Waddle Dee Town grow from the wreckage Kirby initially arrived to see can also be sweet, especially as it comes from saving the captured Waddle Dees.
  • The fact that instead of being enemies in Kirby’s way like in previous games, the Waddle Dees are now Kirby’s friends he journeys to save.
  • The various ways the Waddle Dees help Kirby along in his journey through the New World. They help find Treasure Roads, break down the gates to the bosses, and even rebuilt Kirby’s house in Waddle Dee Town so he has a part of his home in a place away from home. They also help recover money lost from Kirby losing all his health.
  • Once all the Waddle Dees are saved, Kirby returns to great fanfare as all the Waddle Dees happily clap for him with confetti everywhere. They also built golden statues of Kirby and Elfilin in the town square as a tribute to their help. And the statue’s hidden Present Code? THANKYOUKIRBY.
    • Similarly, the Waddle Dees are also grateful towards their other protector. Meta Knight has taken up post as lookout atop the coliseum gates, and Elfilin explains that he keeps watch night and day to protect the town from further attacks by the Beast Pack. The Present Code grafitti-d on the wall below him reads THANKYOUMETAKNIGHT.
  • Kirby, Elfilin, and Bandana Waddle Dee sleeping together in Kirby's bed. This'll prompt a "D'awww" from any Kirby fan.
    • Special mentions to the animations where Kirby gets comfy with a cozy, contented smile, and where Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee are snuggled up together under the sheets.
  • Some Awoofies can be seen minding their own business or sleeping snugly, not even trying to attack Kirby. This doesn't stop the player from killing them, though.
  • The ducklings in Wondaria Remains that will follow Kirby around. And two missions are reuniting them with their mama!
  • After Kirby defeats a brainwashed King Dedede for the second time, snapping him back to his senses, the three rescued Waddle Dees immediately surround their king, happy to have him back, a sentiment he clearly returns. He even gives one a headpat!
    • Kirby also happily greets him in typical Kirby fashion and Dedede responds with a smile, showing their friendship despite their rivalry throughout the years.
    • Immediately afterwards, a large group of Beast Pack minions charge towards the group as they all retreat to the elevator behind them. As they run, a Waddle Dee trips over, and Dedede runs back to help them and sees the enemies closing in. Without hesitation, he throws the Waddle Dee into the elevator and stays behind to hold the Beast Pack off. Not even a full minute after being snapped out of his brainwashed state, he puts his long-time friend Kirby and his loyal followers before himself to ensure their safety, once again proving himself to be a noble and honorable king.
      • The scene can be even more heartwarming when you view it in the lens of this being the culmination of 30 years of Character Development on Dedede's part, which had started with Adventure where he took a harsh choice to protect his people while still being quite jerkish, referenced in Star Allies which had hinted at with its texts of Dedede wanting to prove himself as the King that Dream Land deserved. Gone are the days of selfishly hoarding the food of his subjects and his hatred of Kirby. He has truly ascended into the role of The Hero just as much as his other compatriots, and this scene proves it. Long live King Dedede, who has truly earned his right to rule Dream Land.
      • When you visit Dedede in Waddle Dee Town, the minion Waddle Dee Kirby speaks to is the same one Dedede saved, and they are very grateful about Dedede’s sacrifice. Not only that, but Dedede will also break out of his memetic crouch to greet Kirby with a smile and a wave. Dedede will even acknowledge Kirby much like the Waddle Dees if Kirby waves at him with the + Control Pad!
    • Speaking of good kings, it seems Leongar is much nobler than one would think. The only reason he had the Waddle Dees kidnapped is that he was under Fecto Forgo's mind control. As soon as Kirby and Eflilin return to town after the main story, Clawroline asks them to help save her king from Forgo for good. As soon as they gather the pieces of his soul and beat Morpho Kight, the rest of the Beast Pack show up with the remaining pieces to bring him back to his old self. Almost immediately, Clawroline gives her husband a hug as they welcome their king back. And thus the extra story ends on a final snapshot of everyone in Waddle Dee Town together and happy.
  • According to Elfilin, it was Clawroline who rescued him and helped him regain his strength after he used all his power to close the rift between worlds. He's now willing to do anything for her out of gratitude.
  • The end credits. After the Tear Jerker that was Elfilin’s sacrifice, the end credits show him returning to Kirby with great happiness on both sides. They both return to Waddle Dee Town, where Dedede and the others happily receive them. The credits then go to show Kirby happily playing around with the Beast Pack, now freed from Forgo’s influence and friends with Kirby and co.
  • There's something nice about the fact that, for once, Meta Knight and Kirby aren't dueling because Meta Knight's been mind-controlled, because of a misunderstanding, due to wanting to defeat Kirby to prove himself stronger, or even because he's trying to take over Dream Land over a belief he's a better ruler than Dedede. It's just a nice, low-stakes duel between two old friends.
  • The game's theme song, "Welcome to the New World!", is first heard when Kirby (in Car Mouth form) takes his first roads to the titular New World itself, and gets you pumped up for a new adventure, but where the real heartwarming comes in is the rest of the song that you don't hear until the end credits. The lyrics subtly but effectively hammer home the new friends that Kirby has made throughout his adventure this time around, effectively saving Elfilin and the Beast Pack from what was troubling them before, and how Kirby is welcome to return if he so pleases.
Think of the friends you've made, all of them living free.
Their cares have been washed away by a wild sea.
    Laughing loud!
Even if you're far apart, they're right by your side.
    Hearts full of love!
Everyone is welcome to live in this new world.
  • The game's final cutscene, played after beating the Ultimate Cup Z. Chaos Elfilis Disappears into Light, and some of this light floats down to the heroes. The light gives itself to Elfilin, who in turn accepts it into himself without hesitation. Elfilin and Kirby nod to each other, content, then turn to witness Elfilis's corruption vanish from the arena, revealing a beautiful blue sky.
