Main series:

Season 1

  • Kid might not like Rosa much at the start of the series, but he still moves her off of the road.
  • Jo helping Kid to escape her mom's clutch at the diner. Even more so when Kid finally managed to activate his power for the first time and showed her, she told him that she actually tuned out his explanation of obtaining the rings and didn't believe him about them having power. Kid looked down for a bit before getting happy again as he notes that means she helped him just because she wants to with no ulterior motive and quickly decide to show her the rest of the rings.
  • You have to admit, seeing giant Rosa cuddling with Kid to take a nap was pretty adorable.
  • Rosa comes back to help Kid and Jo against Chuck. When Kid asks why, she says: "You may not be my friend, but I'm your friend!
  • The reason Tuna Sandwich loves Kid. As a kitten, Tuna was a lonely and hungry kitten, taking shelter from a storm. The next morning, Kid gives him a tuna sandwich, which began a heartwarming friendship between the two. It is this reason why Tuna Sandwich is so determined to save Kid from a future he foresaw him dying, he loves him.
  • Papa G fakes an Alien Invasion all to boost Kid's morale.
  • When Kid's dismissed as "comic relief" by the diner patrons, the rest of the Local Heroes defend him as the team's spirit and how there wouldn't be a team without him. A shame Kid wasn't around to hear it.
  • Kid saved Chuck by pushing him out of harms way when the Great Leader tried to step on them with a giant robot and even yelled "Look out!". Despite anger clouding his judgment at the time, it's clear that despite his failings, he truly wants to be a hero that saves people, not just beating the bad guys with cool super power.
  • Chuck does his best to atone for his many misdeeds to Kid. After seeing how cowardly his Great Leader is and how awful he really was, he goes above and beyond to give Kid and the team a fighting chance to save the day. In the end he's essentially a part of the team and works at Flo's Diner, if his uniform is any indication.
  • When Kid meets Tuna Sandwich after the cat gained the ability to talk, “I love you” is one of the first things Tuna Sandwich tells Kid.
  • When all the locals realize that the aliens really mean no harm, they all immediately bond with them. Each of the heroes even make friends with their respective counterparts too. Flo even took photos of all the their moments with them for the day and admits she misses them. Which makes the revelation of Queen Xhan being the only survivor in the end that much heart-wrenching.
    • Unto itself, Flo looking back on the pictures capturing the memories everybody made with the aliens is sweet! Flo loves those pictures because they mark a moment in her life when so many people came to her cherished diner. Not "aliens", not "monsters", people. In her eyes, these aliens were but visitors from all walks of life.
  • A Small gesture, but Kid and Papa G finding the exact Creamer that reminds Flo of her mother, which broke early in the season, is incredibly nice.
  • When Queen Xhan returned after the time skip, there's something nice about the fact that she called to Kid first to give the stones to. Looks like even though he's no longer the leader, he still hold some respect in the eyes of the aliens.

Season 2

  • In the Season 2 opener; Mo’s Oasis Cafe happily caters to their new alien customers.
  • When the crew find the first stone inside a giant puzzle pyramid, Kid is constantly crushed, only saved by the goo stone he has. Each time it happens, Flo gives him a worried hug, thankful he's not dead.
  • After the heist for the Fire and Ice stones goes horribly wrong in Season 2, with Jo at her lowest doubting her leadership skills, Kid comes into her room to cheer her up and apologize over their conflict earlier in the episode. Both acknowledge the other had their points, and Kid eventually just voices his total faith in Jo's abilities before leaving.
  • When Mo's Cafe is in danger from Erodius, the most feared being in the galaxy, several of Flo's customers show up to attack the planet-killer head-on without hesitation. All as thanks for her service.

Season 3

  • What makes Papa G finally make the decision to tell the Kid they’re currently stuck in a Lotus-Eater Machine where all their wishes come true? Hearing the fake doubles of the Kid’s parents, one of whom is his descendants, tell the Kid the reason they didn’t see him after the accident was because they were testing whether or not he was worthy. Papa G lays into them, yelling that no child should need to prove themselves to see their parents.
  • A small scene, but when Erodius was beginning to disintegrate, Jo is seen comforting Kid due to Papa G sacrificing the 14th stone, and robbing him of all of his youthful energy. When she made one final portal to escape, she picks up a distraught Kid like a big sister would to get to safety.
  • Everyone paying their final respects to their stone's respective world before burying them where the Diner was. Most they don't even know who they were, but they know they are gone and thanked them for their powers that made it possible to end Erodius' rampage.
  • The whole finale. Erodius is no longer a threat, and Flo has her diner back... on the condition that the Local Heroes can never take any credit for their heroic act and tell the world. Kid is furious about this. Not because he doesn't get to be the hero, but rather because they might never see all their alien friends again. So what does everyone do? Collectively say Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!, broadcasting their location to outer space, and having ALL their old regulars from space come around for the grand reopening.
    • And the first customer? Carlax. He even becomes part of the "Carl, Carla, Carlos" gag.

Local Heroes shorts:

  • Rosa's short has her parents singing her a lullaby stating how much they love her...and then Rosa sneaks out of the house to roam around the desert (although she does wave goodbye to her parents through the window before she leaves)
    • Rosa befriends a lizard who gets snatched by an eagle, so she removes her ring and slips into onto the tail of said lizard to free him. Then the two become best friends as Rosa rides the lizard all the way back home, even making sure to hide its detached tail (that has a bandage wrapped around it!) with her blanket when her parents come to check up on her.
  • Papa G's short has him use his clones to prepare a hot-dog barbecue for him and Kid, even preparing all sorts of cushions and nets to help Kid stop his uncontrollable flight. And when Kid is about to hit a cactus face-first he immediately makes a Chain of People to catch Kid just in time, with the end having the two (and a lot of Papa G's clones) relaxing.
