• Despite the fact that Chuck was able to read Kid's comic book just fine (Not all information he used to break him is obtainable just from sight), the note he wrote to help Tuna get Jo's attention is entirely in alien's character and no further attempt is made to write it in English.
  • He also had his translator when reading the comics, so it might help with written speech as well with the right settings. Also, comics have lots of pictures.
  • Chuck's alien species has the tech to be able to translate foreign-written words into a language that they're familiar with. In other words, when Chuck reads things in English he's reading it in his alien language, not the other way around. He doesn't know how to truly read English.
• The stones of power are supposed to be the remnants of planets Erodius destroyed, yet when we watch them destroy planets on-screen, there aren’t any new stones.
  • Because the stones are created inside Erodious when it absorbs the mass of the planet. It is rare for a stone to be created before the planet in question is absorbed.
  • From what we see, the stones take on the properties of the superpowers the planet's native species already possessed. There is no guarantee that the inhabitants of the planets we see destroyed had any superpowers to be duplicated, or even that they were all inhabited in the first place.
• We see how powerful telekinesis can be when Fantos, using just that one stone, is able to defeat all the Local Heroes. Why then Erodius, who also had that power, could not do the same?
  • Season 3 eventually provides an answer to why Erodius didn't think of that: because it wasn't the real Erodius. Fantos threw the heroes into a Lotus-Eater Machine where their wishes would come true and they would never lose, so the Season 2 defeat of Erodius was just part of the fantasy world, and that's why the defeat seemed "too easy".
• Why didn't Jo portal The Local Heroes out of the Pyramid Puzzle of Pain once the Speed stone was acquired?
