Heartwarming / FAITH: The Unholy Trinity

Go To

  • Father Garcia's appearance in Chapter II. He tells John not to be afraid, and reassures him that he is no murderer. The two then work together to take down the demon that Father Garcia warded off earlier. It's a nice change of pace from the horror-fest the rest of the game is, and unlike most horror works, Father Garcia doesn't get killed off — at least, not unless you let it happen.
  • While God never makes a direct appearance (the shining figure in Chapter III is the Devil attempting to trick John), the game shows God truly cares for His children and is helping them subtly. His most direct intervention is ensuring John can take more than one hit in the final battle.
  • The Golden Ending of Chapter III. After dealing with Gary, Amy forgives John and lets him finally put her soul to rest, giving him some much needed closure and giving him a new lease on life.
John: Amy, I'm so sorry. I couldn't save you.
Amy: John... It's okay. It's over now. They can't hurt me anymore. You've been so brave. But now... It's time to finish what you started.
[John raises his cross to Amy]
John: En nomine Patri et Fili et Spiritu Sancti.note
[Amy's soul ascends, leaving nothing but a pile of bones behind. John stands there, his mission complete at last, panting and covered in blood]
    John: Amen.
