The web series

    General
  • Despite Giovanni's insistence that he's a certified "bad dude", when Molly correctly points out that he's actually a nice guy, he tries to cover it up.
    • Giovanni's attitude towards his minions in general is extremely sweet. Especially when they get hurt.
Giovanni, sobbing intensely: My boys! My beautiful boys!

Episode 1: Quiet At The Museum
  • During their pose off with Indus, Car Crash mentions that Flamethrower does male cheer leading on weekends, making Flamethrower understandably embarrassed. When he asks them to not tell people about that, to which Car Crash and Ben respond that he shouldn't be embarrassed since he's really good at it, causing him to blush.
  • Indus' clumsy, yet enthusiastic desire to protect Mera, despite her not treating him all that great.
    • He even acts very nice towards Molly when she's tied up and helps to release her.

    Episode 2: Bear Trap
  • Molly and Indus have a brief moment after she commends his enthusiasm during his earlier tour of the museum. Indus practically gushes when she says she'd have given him a four-star rating.
  • Giovanni defending his boys when Molly says they're not very strong.
    Giovanni: They're trying their best!
  • Giovanni and Molly making their fort out of two bear exhibits might be this, given that Molly mentioned liking bears while Giovanni was brainstorming a minion name for her. He also excitedly jumps in on her suggestion to give the bears uniforms.
  • Giovanni and Molly's bonding time, where Molly opens up about her mom and Giovanni not only hears her out but tries to give her advice on becoming more assertive.
Giovanni: You're really kind of a pushover, aren't you, Bear Trap?
    Molly: (flinches) I'm sorry...
Giovanni: See?! This is exactly what I'm talking about! You're doing all this stuff for your dumb family, and you're okay with giving away your epithet because "she might need it"?! What is that crap?! Like, it's nice to be nice or whatever, but you can't just let people step on you! You're just as important as everyone else is, Bear Trap.
    Molly: (softly) ...Really?
Giovanni: Of course! You're my minion now. All my minions are important! I can't have people stepping all over my minions when I'm not around. You've gotta learn to stand up for yourself! Got it?
    Molly: NO!! How's that?
Giovanni: Ha! Nice try. I'm your boss, so you have to listen to me! Not bad, though! We'll work on it!
    • Giovanni also becoming something like a big brother figure to Molly when Sylvie uses nightmare fuel on her, triggering her pyrophobia and causing Molly to have a panic attack. Giovanni immediately holds Molly close to him and gets her as far away from the flames as he can.
Giovanni: Hmph! I think I've had just about enough of you, guy! You made my minion cry! Nobody makes my minions cry except ME!
  • Molly warmly mentioning that she has a friend who likes sheep, so it's good to know she has some kind of support outside of her family.
  • After helping Molly from her nightmare, Giovanni assures her that they'll stick together since she's part of the Banzai Blasters. He even gives her a hug.

Episode 3: The Doctor Is In
  • Even a little bit of positive encouragement from Giovanni has gone a long way to making Molly more confident, as seen when she pulls the fire alarm to wake Sylvie up from Dream Big.
Molly: Pulling one of these outside of an actual fire is a crime, (devilishly) but I'm a criminal now! (cheerful) So it's okay!
  • Molly attempts to be nice to Sylvie, even though he was attacking them earlier, and offers to be his friend.
  • After Molly mentions her mother’s death offhandedly, Sylvie offers her his card and a free therapy session.
  • Giovanni standing up to defend Molly when Indus shows up to retrieve her for Mera. He loses immediately, of course, but his dedication is enough to make Indus tear up a little.

    Episode 4: Reflection
  • Despite being injured, Sylvie still tries to stop Mera from taking Molly's epithet.
Sylvie: (grabbing onto Mera's foot) Don't... touch her.
  • Giovanni's proud grin at Molly after they work together to knock out Mera.
    Giovanni: Now that's what I call a bear-trap!
    Molly: Rawr! (giggles)
  • In the aftermath of the battle, Molly’s kindness really shows through:
    • First, she reaffirms her offer to be Sylvie’s friend while he’s loaded onto an ambulance, and offers to send him some get well toys while he’s in the hospital.
    • She then approaches Mera while she and Indus are being loaded into a squad car, Dumbs down her pain to make the ride more bearable, and offers to visit her in jail to help again when she can. It takes a nudge from Indus, but the gesture does get through to Mera enough for a begrudging “Thanks.”
  • It’s small, but after *finally* getting a ride home Molly prepares to work what’s left of her shift at the toy store. Then her new confidence kicks in, and she flips the sign to “closed” before declaring that she’s going to bed.

     Episode 5: Redwood Run
  • Ramsey seems to gain a little soft spot for Giovanni, showing that despite fraternizing with criminals, he does have a heart of gold.
Ramsey: Ah, he's a good kid. Too bad he's gonna get screwed.
    • When Zora stops by Ramsey’s jail cell and informs him she’s now hunting for the amulet (and by extension, Giovanni), all Ramsey tells her is that she just missed him. With the position Ramsey was in, getting Zora off his back for as long as possible would have been incredibly easy. He knows Giovanni’s name, where he’s headed, and that the kid isn’t exactly bright. But Ramsey gives Zora nothing to work with, because he knows Giovanni wouldn’t stand a chance against her.
  • While he's advised that the Arsene Amulet would sell for more with Bliss Ocean, Giovanni still maintains that he'll turn it in to the Banzai Blasters — not just to rank up with the organization, but because doing so would let him keep his minions when he "makes it big" and states that he can't just leave them behind. His underlings are so important to him that when Arnold and Bugsy demonstrate how the elite Blasters are expected to treat their minions, Giovanni cuts ties with the group to make it as a villain without them.
  • One of the Banzai Blasters being genuinely apologetic when he thought Percy was a man. They may be villains, but they're not monsters.

Episode 6: All's Well That Ends Well
  • Ramsey tries to distract Percy so Giovanni can escape without her noticing. He also becomes frustrated when Giovanni reveals that he hasn't left the bar yet.
Ramsey: (through gritted teeth) Make like your necklace and get lost kid!
  • Giovanni telling Car Crash that he actually believes he may have astigmatism since he's crashing so much and admits he's worried for him and advises he gets them checked.
  • Ramsey commenting to Percy to never underestimate mundies. Not only because one took out the eye that his golden one replaced, but also because "they may surprise you".
    • In a way, it's doubly heartwarming because Ramsey only brought up how he lost his eye because Percy was coming down on herself for being useless without her epithet, and was basically encouraging her not to define herself by it.
  • One of the post-credits fanarts in the YouTube release shows Molly following through on her promise and visiting Sylvie in the hospital, along with bringing him a small sheep plushie as a get-well present.

    Episode 7: Winner Takes All
  • Howie reveals that he went into town to get some snacks for his workers since they've been doing a good job.
  • Despite Howie's passive aggressive jabs at Percy, the two of them do seem to hold some respect towards each other. With Percy acknowledging all of the hard work Howie and his worker bees put in to keep up with epithet users like herself, to Howie admitting Percy is also good at her job.
  • Zora being shocked that Percy's pea-shooter that she turned to dust was a gift, and admits she feels bad about destroying it.
  • Percy seems to break down into tears when Ramsey turns to gold after Zora slashes his arm off. Even though she's aware that he's a criminal, she's started to see him as a friend.
  • Percy's stamina is low after fighting the Banzai Blasters in the tavern last episode, so the effort it takes to make enough Wizard Towers for Ramsey's plan to defeat Zora knocks her out. As soon as Zora is down for the count, Ramsey runs to Percy's side to make sure she's okay, and offers her a pine cone to give her a boost.
